| Welcoming Sophie- Here she is! BARKiNG! So far so good with having my granddogger in the home with our other two dogs. There have been a few scuffles with Sophie attacking my Cotton de Tuilliere -- she is very posessive of me. Funny, since he is about 3 times her size. He just hunkers down and takes it and I pull her off and scold her and put her in the pack leader down position like Caesar and she chills out. And so far NO mistakes in the house. I think it has really helped to remove all the throw rugs. An unforseen issue-- her high, shrill bark hurts my head. I am plagued with migranes and she sends me there! I shush her, I pick her up, I cover her face, I scold, I do the fingers poke in the shoulder thing.... this could be a real issue. I must find a solution and FAST. Any suggestions? Thanks. ~dmv |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT . Sounds like your little granddogger is ALL yorkie, lol! One thing that sometimes helps is to fill a metal can w/ pennies or nails and shake it really hard when he barks to interrupt the behavior, while also saying "No bark!" at the same time so he learns that command.
