There are a lot of bad publicity out there about TENEWENYS, look at this post, but they seem to be selling! It seems to me if it could get $600 for a teneweny 45 years ago, $2000 to $4000 today is not too bad.

The personalities between my two are some what different. Tinker Bell is much more affectionate and love ably because she is more dependent. This is what I won't at my age.

If over priced pups are selling to anyone that wants a dog to fit in their pocket it must be a good idea. or not. mostly not.

Sadly that's what many uneducated people think and why it's used as a ploy to make more money. Some also just use them as assesories. A tiny yorkie is the same as a 7 pound yorkie and even the same as a 14 pound yorkie in the same sense. A yorkie is a yorkie. You just want your opinion to be right your not willing to read the links anyone has posted or what any one has posted you simply want to push buttons. It certainly has worked, I hate the word and reputable breeders will not be associated with it so say what you want it just shows uneducation and knowledge for the breed and speaks volumes about your breeder.

And there it is you just said it, it's about more money! Money grubbing breeders who just care about money not the health of there yorkies!

Except that that's a major ripoff. Reputable yorkie breeders don't sell their dogs for that high, regardless of how big or small they are. You have disreputable breeders/puppy mills selling these dogs for an extreme profit- meaning they aren't concerned with the health and welfare of these puppies, they just want them to sell. The fact that they can't guarantee the size of these dogs should be the biggest red flag to most people.

I think at this point you're hellbent on teacups, teenyweenie, whatever you want to call it and you're comfortable with spending however many thousands of dollars on them. There's nothing I or anyone else here could say to convince you otherwise. It's sad and frustrating for a lot of us because it just perpetuates abuse that our beloved breed goes through.

Lots of people buy Big Macs. And Whoppers.

Lots of people buy crack and meth too. Just saying.

Just because people buy it, doesn't make it good.

When people buy things that will most likely cause heartache, or heart attack if we are talking burgers, it is clear. They buy them because they are appetizing, or good to the eye. Not for the reasons that should matter.

I remember the first time I even heard the term "teacup". When people like Paris Hilton would carry her little Chihuahua around as an accessory. That horrible "fad" seemed to really take off and unfortunately hasn't died off. Dogs are pets, not accessories. A 7 pound yorkie can be just as cute as a 3 pound yorkie!

Breeding Tcups should be frowned upon not buying tcups. He/she has the money to afford one and if they can care for them propery and afford them I have no problem with anyone buying them and I dont think anyonne should make them feel bad for buying them. I dont see anyone making someone feel bad for buying from a breeder that breeds over the standard yorkies

So...simply because someone can afford to take care of a miserable animal (because, let's shoot straight, MANY of these "teacups" are), it's okay for them to lead a miserable, issue-laden life?

Again, NOT spaying IS a HUGE health risk (just research info from the rest of this post) for any female, let alone tiny dogs. Pyometra nearly killed my very healthy 50+lbs dog???how fast could it kill a 6lbs dog?


Not trying to be mean, but "so what?" Seems like a hugely naive answer.
