| Do Yorkie's smell? My sister bought a Yorkie puppy a while back and it has a strong odor. Someone told her this was normal with Yorkies. Yesterday a saw a man with a Yorkie and asked if his dog had an odor. He told me it never did and I smelled his dog and it did not. So do Yorkie's smell? Thanks |

| I've had Yorkies for over 30 years and have never known any of them to smell. Has your sister taken her Yorkie to the vet to get a skin check? Could be an infection of some sort. Maybe even anal glands. |

| Logan starts to get the pee pee smell if it's been longer than a week and a half since his last bath, but that's it. The first time a friend of mine met my yorkie she was shocked he didn't smell. I thought that was weird.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I would tell your sister to have her yorkie checked out. My girls don't smell unless it is just the normal dog smell but after a bath they are fine again!!

| How long has your sis had him? Did she give him a bath after she got him? No Yorkies shouldn't smell. I do think that the one trait of all my yorkies that I have had is that they have what I call "FRITO FEET!" I personally think that their pads on their feet smell like Fritos ...

When Joey had an ear infection, he had an odor that was cured by the ear drops. If he eats dried tripe as a chew-bone, he smells pretty bad around the mouth. Other than that, no, he doesn't have an odor.

| No my yorkie doesn't smell unless she has had a bath in a couple weeks. We usually give her a bath about every 10 days.
