| New Yorkie Lover While I was working last week a friend's daughter was looking for a 'teacup' yorkie. I actually told her that teacup is not a proper term for a Yorkie. I also went over some idea's about the time and money needed to have a very small yorkie and suggested her daughter join our forum. I don't know if she has yet, but she found her yorkie, a little girl, lexi and chose one that was four months old that will probably be more around 5-7 pounds. I was very happy that she made a wise choice. I think she will fit more perfectly in her lifestyle.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That's such a good feeling when you offer good advise and someone actually listens...I got the nicest pm from someone who was thinking they wanted a little tiny - after talking to her - she also realized they require special care and changed her mind and will get a yorkie that more suits her lifestyle...I felt really good knowing she is making a choice that will probably work out better for both her AND the yorkie she will finally get.... She was nice enough to even send me a pm letting me know this.... and if she's reading this ....BEST of luck to you girl ! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I agree - How sad !!!! we had a neighbor that kept a pitt in their yard CHAINED to a tree - no one ...and I mean NO ONE... could go near him cept his dad. He terrified me as well as had my total sympathy - I think its a sad life to live being tied up in someones yard 24/7 and many people just don't have a clue what that does to those poor dogs minds.....It should be against the LAW to keep an animal chained up day and night....I really believe if someone has a pet to be responsible for - no matter how big or small - they should spend time with them and give them the best life possible. Then the same applies to very very tiny yorkies - when someone takes on that responsibility - they should be VERY prepared make certain changes in their lives and not expect that tiny one to have the same needs as an average sized yorkie. |
