Hanging by a string (poop) I know this is kinda gross, but I had to ask if anyone else has had this happen. A few times, Lexi will go poop and some of it looks like it is stuck and she will start spinning around trying to get it off. When I go over to help her, I realize that there is some kind of string (hair maybe) attached to her poop and still in her butt and I have to pull it out (gross, I know). Has anyone else had this happen before?

| Yeah, occasionally, if Jackson swallowed a piece of hair or a string of grass outside, it's happened sometimes and it is really gross! lol

| Yep, it happens to all of them sometimes. I call them cling-ons, or dingle berries. And it drives them nuts until you help remove it.

Yeah, happens more often than I would like. My wife has long hair and she sheds more than the dog (her words, not mine!), so Bentley will eat whatever he finds. Sometimes he gets a hanger on, which means daddy has to scoop him up and extract it from him. It could be worse. The other day he decided that the best way to deal with this was to scoot his bum across the floor. You can imagine what that looked like afterwards

I am SO glad someone posted this. My Pluto does this sometimes too. It is gross, but part of it. On the other hand, I am a RN....so gross can get so much worse!

When it really gets icky to me is when Joey has his loose stools that hang on to the long hair. That is really hard to clean off. Almost have to give him a bath and I have done that, in the bum area that is. Just part of the job of caring for him.

The worst part is Lexi is a poop eater (getting better), so when the poop is hanging there she will spin in circles trying to get to the poop so I have to run to her the get the poop off before she eats it off!

I think the more gross part would be if you didn't realize your furbutt had diarrhea, had some smeared on their butt and then come sit on your lap/tummy/etc... Few seconds later, you'd smell it. First reaction would be looking at the stinker and ask "did you fart?!". And then, you'd have the pleasure of finding out it's smeared on your clothes... -_-

That would definitely be worse to not know he had loose stools and then came and sat on my lap. That has never happened though, fortunately.

That happens to Gizmo from time to time. Sometimes it's from his toys and once it was my hair. It was long piece that I had to pull out of his rear. He could feel it coming out and turned to look at me with the "wth" look.
