| Summer travel plans Please share. We are planning a roadtrip to South Dakota in two weeks. I am nervous bc I have been researching and a lot of the places I want to visit are not pet friendly. We have a stroller ready along with the pet front backpack carrier from petco. Thanks for sharing. SORRY ADMINS..i know this is wrong place but most traffic in here. Thanks.

| We just returned from a 6 week trip. Most towns we went to had pet friendly hotels. We did have a problem at Mt. Rushmore no pets allowed inside, so DH and I had to take turns going in. Chief Crazy Horse monument on the other hand, they never said a word about us bringing them in, even inside the gift shops. Not sure where all you plan on going but some allow them in carriers and some not at all.

| One tip, not yorkie related lol. Fill up with gas before hitting SD. The fuel there has a lot of ethinol and the mileage cuts almost in half on it. Hope you have a safe and wonderful trip.

| We went to Sturgis last year and the tip on gas is a great one. Also the gas stations are few and far between in some spots. We didn't take the dogs on this trip because we took our motorcycle but the scenery was beautiful. We went to Florida last month and took the dogs and had a great time.

| Forgot to add if you go to the Badlands, I think dogs are allowed but some of the other places will not allow dogs.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I would make sure the hotel you stay at has room doors that open inside to a hallway. Just in case housekeeping goes in and they get out. They will go into a hallway not outside. For Galen I bring one of those pop up playpens. It makes sure he doesn't get out if anyone opens the door. Also make sure you have tags, medical records and a recent picture (just in case) We might be going to The Outerbanks. So I am gathering everything I can for out trip . . A little OCD lol
