| Marlee, you shouldn't feel bad at all. It's all in good fun. And start by dressing your dog up now, so it's used to the clothes. I have a feeling if you started later on, the dog might hate wearing clothes. It's almost like you are a new mommy. Have fun! I too am in the same boat, so I can totally relate....

| IHeartYorkies I talk about my baby all the time and people roll their eyes or think I'm crazy. They always say, he's just a DOG. Well I guess they couldn't completely understand until they had a little yorkie and know the love you feel for them. When I talk about getting him a car seat and shirts and ANOTHER toy, they just don't get it. |

| It hasn't ended for me yet. In fact, I just bought some more things for the doggies today! I got them the "Chewy Vuitton" purse toy and "Chewnel No 5." toy as well. They are so spoiled. People think I'm crazy too, but know that you can always come here and you're not alone. We all spoil our babies (everyone in their own way, which is part of what makes this forum so cool)

I saw a jacket for Bounce.....how sad is that?! lol Let your hubby know before it's too late! haha You'll never stop spending on your baby, trust me.

| Schatzie, I take it personal too! I find it very sad that they must live life without the type of love like I have found. Well, too bad for them!

| Honestly I think what this comes down to is simple economics. All the money we save on dog food we spend on toys/cloathing/acoutraments etc; thereby doing our part for the economy! simple, isn't it? |

| Spoiled? Thats an understatement No, you are not crazy, cause if you are, then I am totally insane. I have two boy babies, probably the only ones on earth that have personally monogrammed bathrobes with their names above a yellow ducky. They also have boots and hooded raincoats, then their Anaheim Angels regulation hats, batting helmets, 2 diffrent monagrammed custom shirts each, bandannas, visors, and on and on and on, my kids are talking about having me committed. If I need to have my hair done (colored and cut) and the dogs need grooming, guess who I make an appointment for? its loads of fun though |

| I thought I was the only one who worried about my baby when we were gone for awhile. But yesterday, we stopped in to see my daughter and her boys. Then decided to go to dinner. When we were in the restuarant for a while, my husband turned to me and said, "Poor Snoodles" She is home alone, we better hurry and get home!" It touched my heart and made me smile! This from a man who said we could not have another dog, and ingnored it when I got it for a whole day! Ha! Who could not fall in love lwith these precious babies? Pat |

| The canine money pit Having a dog is VERY expensive proposition! I am probably way up there on the “guilty” list as, in addition to the usual stuff people buy for their dogs, I buy show equipment, agility equipment, books, videos, etc. But that’s just the beginning. What I find most expensive are the vet bills. Sadly the older your dog gets, the more those bills grow, but even regular check-ups and vet care for a healthy dog is expensive. For instance, had to take all three of my munchkins to the vet this past weekend to have their heartworm tests. Out vet is very helpful and works with me but he cannot prescribe heartworm preventative, a necessary evil in New York during warm weather days, without running this test first (even though both he and I would be willing to put money on the fact that none of my dogs have the condition). Each dog was a $78 bill (and then I sent the scripts out to Foster & Smith, purchasing a number of other items for dogs and parrot, for a total order of $180). If your dog gets sick, boy can you be in trouble! When Bun had his Addison’s crisis, I ran up nearly $4000 worth of vet bills. He will now be on meds for the rest of his life. $150 worth of DOCP a year and prednisone every day for the rest of his life. You may need to have a real sit-down chat with hubby if you haven’t done so already. |

HOW TRUE is this? u know, ppl would really tramp me on my heart if they would make the comment "its just a dog" sometimes i see ppl look at Chelsey and then they look at me, i kinda feel what they thinking, but its ppl like this that either DONT like animals or they have never had the experience of yorkielove.... all i think of them is that they are really poor souls.... in the beginning i really cared what other ppl would think, but she is MY baby and WE love her and thats what its all about, i dont need anybody's aproval to love her...... she is slower then other yorkies of her age, maybe its got to do with birth... maybe it will pull right, maybe it wont, but no matter what... she is extra special to us!

| My sisters all have big dogs so when I come in with my little guy in a sweater and bows I get that she's nuts look. One recently got a Maltese and now she understands! Now she wants to know where I got everything. One thing to keep in mind though is they will grow out of things. I can't wait to buy him this really cute leather harness but it isn't cheap so I'm waiting until I'm sure he is full grown.
