| Do you keep clothes on in the house? Hi everyone, I have a question: If you put sweaters, dresses, etc on your Yorkie, do you keep the clothing on while you're in the house? The reason I ask this is when I bring Baby to my parent's house I put a sweater or a "coat" on her. When I get in the house my mother says, "You should probably take that off her." The reason she says this is because she doesn't want Baby to get a chill. You know how when you come in from outside, and you wear your coat inside and then go outside you're really cold? Now, you can't "catch" a cold from going outside (you have to have a bug to begin with), but going outside will then lower your immune system. Anyway, that's happened to me, and my mom didn't know if it'd happen to dogs too. (I hope you all understand my rambling! ) So.....what do you all think about that? Do you only put clothes on to go outside? Do you dress your babies and keep them inside? Do you change clothes when you go out? Now, I know some of you don't put clothes on your Yorkies. Hey, I SWORE that if I ever got a dog I wasn't putt'in no stupid clothes on my dog! But, then I found out that Yorkies don't have fur, and they get cold. So once I bought my first sweater, I couldn't stop! Now I want to know if she should be naked in the house. Thanks a lot!!!

| It's been really cold in the p.m. here, so I put a sweater on my Gus before we go take the kids to school. I keep it on him till it warms up around noon and brush him out. If it's cool day I will leave it on him all day and brush him out at night. I don't leave swearters over night because he has plenty of blankets to keep him warm. And if it's really cold I will turn on his heating pad on very low and leave it on just long enough to warm his blankets. I don't like to use the pad soo much. I am scared it will get too hot or short out somehow and burn him. So lately I get one of his blankets and put in the dryer before bed time for him. He loves it. I never heard of them getting sick from getting a chill. If it's cold I will leave his sweater on all day. He don't spend too much time outside, just to do his biz and back and forth to pick up the kids.

| I Loved the title to your post! Do I keep clothes on in the house? I sure do! It would gross my husband and teenage sons out if I ran around naked! Does Joey wear clothes in the house? No. But then, the only clothes he ever wears is a coat. Still chuckling....

| No SMudger only wears his jumpers when he goes out for a walk and i take them off as soon as we walk in the door I don't want him to depend on being warm by wearing a jumper, plus my heating is always always on so it's always warm in my house. He has 2 jumpers a red one and a blue one and that is it

| I keep them in sweaters and shirts but I dont ever leave anythign like a harness on chloe when she is in the house, just incase she got caught on something when I wasnt looking. BUt I llike to put pajamas , shirts, sweaters, hoodies or basically anything that has fabric with a little stretch in it and that is really soft and cozy for her

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | It really depends with us...if it is cold outside we will put a little shirt on Magic as she gets cold really easier!! We have little onesie that we cut to make them t shirts for them that they wear alot because they are light weight but keep them warm...but as it has not been that cold here lately the girls only wear things when we go out!!!

| My Yorkies usually go naked. If I had a sweater on them and took them somewhere I would not take it off when I got there. When I put clothes on them they where it for that day.
