|  After seeing so many pups with mammary tumors, I would never allow my female pup to go through any heat cycles. I have seen no convincing evidence about issues with spaying at the age of 6 months that outweigh the benefits of avoiding mammary tumors. I only commented about my vet previously because I don't/won't be having any puppies in my home now; but felt compelled to voice my opinion IF I had one.

| Thanks for all the replies! I have decided to go ahead and get Gracie spayed now. Her appointment is on the 3rd. I know I'm going to be a nervous wreck that day!
