After seeing so many pups with mammary tumors, I would never allow my female pup to go through any heat cycles. I have seen no convincing evidence about issues with spaying at the age of 6 months that outweigh the benefits of avoiding mammary tumors.
I only commented about my vet previously because I don't/won't be having any puppies in my home now; but felt compelled to voice my opinion IF I had one. |
