How do you know I haven't? Actually, I usually don't follow these kinds of threads, except that two people PM'd me because my name was mentioned. Can you show proof shes a great breeder? No you can't all you can show is reviews that could have been written by anyone maybe even the breeder. There is no way to explain those prices except to take people so I don't feel bad for the breeder at all. You may want to take a look at all the other review threads and because they say the same stuff I said and normally much worse and have fun reporting those. Always a fan of those sarcastic smiley faces.....

I'm glad you're a fan of those smiley sarcastic faces . But seriously, there were a few glowing reviews, including a review by an established Yorkietalk member. And there was a bad review about a Maltese. The prices are exorbitant, some of the ads may be poorly written. The important take-away lesson is that someone who is going to buy a Yorkie needs to check out the breeder thoroughly, and it sounds like the OP has done that (and is willing to pay high prices).

The price is a red flag. There are show breeders who post here who would say that price is ridiculous because it is. I feel bad for all the people who get suckered into that. Reviews mean nothing because there have been bybs and puppy mills who have made up names and left amazing reviews for themselves. I still don't see your proof and being your friend and linked to you is not proof. Didn't you get your yorkie from a bad breeder?

And who is the established member who's review you are referring to? The one who only said she is a show breeder? Just being a show breeder doesn't make someone a good breeder.

So I guess it's my turn to jump in on this circus.......If you do a quick search of Cindy Hill Yorkies she comes up as a reputable show breeder

I don't know the Pedigree of the puppy that is being purchased but I am POSITIVE it's not show quality because he would be in the ring. Show breeders breed for that ultimate champion and it seems that she has at least 2 that have gone to Westminster.

The prices on the East coast are about $3,000 from a show breeder so I'll say double. IMO the OPer should fly out there to see the puppies and how they live and also meet the breeder in person.

But the price tag is WAY OVER THE TOP but I guess if the OPer want to pay $6,000 for a puppy why bother to argue with her. I on the other hand know show breeders that would find her $6,000 price tag totally outrageous but whatever......OPer have at it and I hope you will be satisfied with your decision to spend at least triple the price but it's your money and your decision.

She hasn't looked at my dogs. I go out of my way to champion them. I keep back dogs from my breedings. My dogs live in my home and my heart.

Have you googled her name and her kennel name. You might be surprised at what you find.

Authorities reported in one fire that 61 dogs perished in the fire but SHE says it was only "about" 30...........This wasn't a breeding business, its a puppymill....I don't care what anyone says, I saw enough online last night to make me physically sick, go head support the greeder, but I'm saying stay away from this place, wow 30 dogs...or 61...??? omg

Let me also add this~there are a LOT of show breeders that have large kennels. It's been talked about on this forum in the past. I'm not saying that it's a good thing but it is the truth. Just because you have the word Show Breeder attached to your name doesn't mean that they have 2 dogs and having a litter or two a year. Some have many, many dogs that they breed and live in outbuilding. It's just a fact and reality.



Oh and I think it pretty much sucks.

Oh my gosh. Two fires. . How terribly sad.

My breeder, who is just a good ole farm girl and doesn't show dogs, where I got Lily only breeds four girls and her dogs are all in her home. Makes me appreciate her even more. Lily is so well socialized it is unreal. From day one she has done great! So again I will state, breeder and her reputation means everything.

I have been reading parts of this thread. What you all seem to forget is this is "Free Market Society". CH can charge whatever she wants for her dogs. She has established her market. If there are people stupid enough to pay the price so be it. There are so many wonderful breeders out there that have nicer or just as nice dogs, show or otherwise. Little Cup Cake is looking for "bragging rights" She wants to pay as much as she can so she can brag to everyone about her dog.
It doesn't make her purchase any better than anyone else. Am I going to change my prices--NO WAY- I don't believe in gouging people.
My first concern is to find a loving home with someone smart enough to take excellent care of my puppy. Not looking for the person who will pay the highest price.
