| I won't share & I'm mean to my sister! Ok, here's the deal: Scout, my 7 month old Yorkie boy has recently started being a bully to Pippa (17 mo-older but a bit smaller) his doggie "sister". He won't let her play with any toys. He hogs them all and takes them away from her even though he's playing with something else...just like a 2 year old! He also growls meanly sometimes and they get into a real fight. I am attaching a video of him taking toys. He finally lets Pippa have an abandoned Santa Claus after taking away about 4 other toys from her. Do I need to be concerned or intervene? OR do I let them just go about their doggie play and let him dominate? I always break it up when it seems to get "serious". http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?use...entTime=193559

| Hi Tiffany! Mine do the same thing....Louie is 1yr 3 months and Bella is 5 months...He takes EVERYTHING from her! LOL....She is good about it though and from the looks of your video yours is too. Somethimes Bella will hold her own though and tease him when he has his "bone" and then he growls at her and she knows how far she can go with that LOL.....Really cute video, your babies are adorable!!

| Whew! You guys are fast! Resource guarding? I will look it up. Most of the time it looks like normal play, but occasionally turns into what looks like 2 tazmanian devils going at it. Neither have ever gotten hurt, but I worry that Pippa might because she is smaller and Scout is growing like a weed.

| [QUOTE=tmatherly] Resource guarding? QUOTE] It is simple you got it I want it and I have it I am keeping it. It ok as long as it stays play like and is normal dog stuff. Only get concerned if it gets rough and to heavy handed bullying . Always him to her and she never gets a toy or it is directed at you. So if you ask him to move off a couch and he growls or if You ask for a toy and he just freezes or looks hard at you. Then you got an issues. Joy |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | That video could have been my two girls...Magic is the same way with Sailor. If Sailor has any toy Magic automatically wants it, even if she doesn't like it normally!! Sailor usually lets her get away with it, but sometimes will stand up to her. We normally let them handle it but if Magic starts to get mean we will stop and give Sailor back her toys. I woudn't worry about it...
