| What's the Deal? I went to Petco and Pet Smart this weekend because I was shopping for Lily. I was looking at foods and thinking about what would be best for Lily once I get her. I was at Petco first. I go over to the Royal Canine and was approached by (what I thought was a Petco employee) a lady "working" there. She went on to tell me that RC was just all about promoting and used the sane food regardless of the breed. She HIGHLY recommended Blue Buffalo. She went on and on about it. I thanked her, purchased my items(no food) then left. I then went to Pet Smart. I was approached again by a lady wanting to talk to me about foods even though I was looking at toys. She also HIGHLY recommended Blue Buffalo. Then it hit me. They both had on the sane blue uniform and they both pushed Blue Buffalo. They both had to be working for Blue Buffalo. Has anyone else had this happen? To be honest, this gave me a bad impression of Blue Buffalo. I would rather they be honest! Instead this just irritated me! With that said, I'm thinking Blue us out for us.

| I've seen those ladies at my local PetSmart. They work for BB and push the food.

| Yes, and I find it very obnoxious. Would not be my pick of pet food.

YT 2000 Club Member | dog I always choose my doctor, vet, surgeon, and dog food by recommendation. I called my poodle breeder who's husband is a vet, Dr. Brad Patterson in Camarillo, Calif. They show poodles and recommend feeding Wellness. So I got the Complete Health Wellness dog food with the chicken base. My Yorkies are doing really good on this. They like it and I add a little of the Wellness Chicken stew in it. I hope you research and choose the best food for your Yorkie. I tried Blue Buffalo and their stools were loose. | I was at pet smart & pet supplies in the food isles, no one approached me, maybe because it was not a week end. I was waiting for the store manager to approach me and BAN Cody from the stores for his consistent barking every time owner & their dog walked past the isle.

| Well it sounds like they are the ones who are promoting! If that's how they are then I'm just not interested. I will probably end up home cooking for Lily because I think it's best; however, while she is a puppy I'm going to get a good food. I will for sure research and get her a good one!

| This was Teddy the first time he laid eyes on a food rep. He was ready to fight aggressive sales tactics: We buy our food at a boutique where there are never any marketing reps. The only nuisance is the sales person who tries to talk us into buying the 30 pound bags. We laugh and pick up the 5 pound bags.

| Royal Canin is a great food and it's not the same food just labled differently. Royal Canin actually does food trials and has vets on staff which a lot of these new holistic brands don't.

| I had one approach me and ask what I was feeding, I said Orijen and she said "oh that's the best food out there"...haha, even their reps don't think their food is the best.

| I worked as a rep for BB for about 3 weekends before I quit. I just couldn't get myself to be that annoying person and I don't even like the company. lol. I would definitely skip over BB.

| I just went with what the breeder was feeding, She's been showing/breeding for over 30 years and most of her pet Yorkies lived past 15, her last two that passed were 17 and 19. I was going to try a fancy brand after a slow change over but decided to stick with her brand as the pup is great and doing great, so she obviously knows her stuff. |

| My petsmart has a BB rep there all the time, luckily she's nice and just enjoys seeing Lola rather than pushing their food on me. I've only had a bad experience with one of the food reps. I had just gotten Lola and the woman came out of nowhere and started lecturing me about puppy mills and how delicate small dogs are. She had tons of anti-puppy mill pins on her smock. It was completely ridiculous. Lola is not from a puppy mill and she's my 4th small dog, so I told her that and how healthy my other dogs were and how long they lived. It shut her up . |
