| Senior Yorkie Talker | Awww how cute. I'm glad its working out for you. I'm going to test out the carry thing, and make it a fun house for him, so his anxiety will leave when I have to put him in there. Try to get her a play pen when you can. it was brought to my attention through a professional yorkie breeder that crate training causing anxiety issues in yorkies. I'm not sure if its true or not though. I bought a play pen just to be on the safe side, and trained him in it instead. |

| She is no problem in the crate, its plenty big, 3' x 2', she just goes to sleep within minutes. At night when wife goes to bed we move the Crate to BR and she sleeps till 5:16 AM, when she whimpers for us to wake up, lol. Sig was the same way, you could set you watch at wake up time. Thing is its only a holding place for when we can't watch her, as she gets older we will leave the room for longer periods, now one of us is always there. I'm going to Service Dog train her so separation anxiety is a major disqualifier if you want to get her certified (not required, but gives credibility). One of the tests is you leaving the room, dog stays calm, Reason for this is if something happened to you, responders don't need a whining dog to deal with also. |
