| Ahhhh he fell off the table! First day home and this! At the vet and Cerulean decides to back off the vet table. I made the mistake of thinking the nurse had everything under control while I explained paperwork. She was able to semi break his fall but the yelping he did will haunt me forever. The doc immediately checked him over head to toe and then again to ease my mind. They felt so bad and apologized all over themselves. I'm glad he's alright though. Doc assured me he was ok and I didn't need to worry about any after effects. I'm praying that's the case. |

| You didn't mention his age but by the look of your avatar, I'm guessing he's a puppy. Did they x-ray him or at lest offer to keep him and observe him? Any dog falling that far is worrisome. I'm sure the vet gave you warning signs to look for since he didn't keep him. I'd think he needs to be professionally observed for the next 24 hours at least. Watch his pupils to see if they change and won't accommodate or constrict to light, if they become enlarged and fixed, he limps, won't eat/drink/potty, he acts disoriented, drowsy or sluggish, lethargic or he just stands still in one place and seems unsure of what to do. He could have bruised his liver or torn some tiny blood vessels in important places or had a concussion from the sloshing of his brain as he came to a sudden stop. Poor little guy, take him right into the ER vet if his behavior seems at all odd or anyway different from the routine - he could be hurting or bleeding internally or something and only his behavior is all you will have to go on. I hate to scare you but you need to know what to look for these next 24 hours or so. God bless the little baby and I'll pray he's going to be fine. At the very least he's likely to be sore and stiff though puppy's can be so pliable that if the nurse broke enough of the fall, you may notice little difference in his behavior and I pray that's the case.

| so happy your lil boy is where he belongs, with you, his new mommy, not happy about his first experience with the vet, not a good way to start a pup off with his new Dr. Hope he is ok. A new door in your life has opened, you are now a yorkie mommy.

| I have done nothing but keep an eye on him. My daughter swears it looked worse than it was. She said it was more like a roll down the ladies leg. We're home now and he's fine. Following us everywhere, crying when left alone in his pen, peeing on his puppy pad and taking his nutrical with no problem. He has tons of energy too! Thanks for all the concern, puppies are nothing like guinea pigs! |

| Glad he's ok...hopefully the vet will help with x-rays, etc. if they are needed. Our fingers and paws are crossed.

| That's scary. Glad he is ok. I never let my hand off of Callie or Sammy when they are on the vets examining table even when the vet wants a tech to hold one of them, I stand right there. Callie dosent like the vet table and will climb me but Sammy will lay down but I still hold onto him.
