And I agree with everything she says. My point if just that it's too late to tell her what SHOULD have done. She already has the puppies. So now we should focus on what she should do NOW and help her out. Not make her feel bad about buying them too young.

I didn't I simply warned her of what I have seen happen. It might sound rough but it does happen hypoglycemia is a very serious thing not to be take lightly. I never told her what she should do I just explained why I felt a puppy under 12 weeks is to young and she will know why if she decides to get another yorkie. It will also help anyone else who doesn't know and reads this thread. It's not always about the op.

And that WAS done. Puppies that young are too young to be left alone and she needs to find a vet who is up to date with current vaccination practices in small breed dogs.

I am one who doesn't really mind seeing a Yorkie pup home at 9 weeks or so, even though the YTCA recommends 12 weeks. I think most pups fair just fine. But even coming from someone like ME who is pretty laid back when it comes to that stuff... 7 weeks is too young. Most states have LAWS that you cannot sell puppies before 8 weeks. And being left completely alone for 7 hours at 7 weeks old is much too long.

Which is EXACTLY why a got a dog sitter for the day my question has DEFINITELY been answered now hence the day is completely over with... thanks though

She's been "warned" many times by other members, she's "got it" why keep hammering away.Whats done is done, she didn't put a gun to the breeders head and DEMAND to buy a 7 week old pup. She is a NEW small dog owner, she needs help and advise on small dogs. She did not know it was unsafe to buy a 7 week old pup, she doesn't know the selling law age of pups. She has them now, every thread she put out there she writes NEW yorkie mom. YT is here to advise, suggest and you all informed her of the dangers of a young pup I say "good job YT members" That being said, now she needs guidance in raising them, isn't that what YT is all about, HELPING ppl? If she didn't buy these pups someone else would have, and perhaps would not be on YT. Thank goodness she took them home, and found YT, and they will be in good hands because she has all YT members as her peers. Thanks to all that posted she now knows the danger of bringing home such a young pup. Thanks to all members that answered her post she knows the signs to look for. Again "good job YT member" now it's time to help when she needs it, and I know you will be there for her. The idea of YT is growth, not to chase newbies away.
