| We only use a "step in" harness for Toto. It has her tags on it and unless we plan to let her walk on her leash, she is naked all the time. If we go out and are carrying her [which is most of the time], I always take her harness & leash in her little bag just in case. We never, ever put anything around her neck.

| I like the Easy Walk harness and the step in style harness over the traditional harness. Both are easier to get on, and the easy walk is for dogs who pull. It has 3 straps and attaches in the front, but low on the chest so it doesn't pull on their throat. It doesn't allow them to pull very sucessfully and makes walks much more pleasant. I use the step in harness more for when I send Loki out to potty (on a leash, no fence) and when he is attached to his seatbelt in the car. The leash attaches to the back like a regular harness but it's simple to get on and off. You can get both at Petsmart.

| Thank you so much this really helps me alot. And my next question was going to be where to purchase the easiest harness. I will check out Petsmart next time I am in the city. I was real concern about the collar as I said when she gets excited to starts the coughing. I will deffently use the harness from now on. Thanks again everyone... Star Taffy and Baby's mom |

| How big is your baby. Belle uses a cat harness. I also use a cat collar it has an easy release connector it is meant to unhook if pulled on to hard. It prevents choking hazards. I picked both up at Wal-mart.

| Harness! We now use the step in harness from Petsmart....they are wonderful! At first we tried the type that went over their head and after months of struggle putting it on and taking it off, we switched and putting them on is so much easier!!

| We always use a harness. From what I understand the collar is not good for any dog, especially the little one. There tracheas and necks are soo sensitive.

| Use a harnesess if you are gonna put a leash on it. I dont see anything wrong with their wearing a collar though. My dogare going to start so they have thier Identification on them.

| I've learned so much from this thread and will definitely be buying Bella a harness to use for walks and such. Collars are okay for their tags and such, yes? Or does this put too much restriction on their throats, too? Kelli wore her collar constantly with her tags on it, only time we took it off was when she had her allergies really bad. Poor thing would just break out all over her neck.

| I use collar all the time, tags, etc. But out walking we use a harness. Because the collars were making them choke.

| Taffy has the old fashion kind and she doesn't like putting her head in it. Sounds like the step in harness sound like the best. Thanks for the help Star, Taffy & Baby |
