				   | Good Morning! Have a question about weight gain. Before I got Molly I did a lot of reading on Yorkie. One of the things that I read was Yorkies should not weigh more than 8 pounds. When I brought Molly home on Jan 24th (she was a few days over 2 months) she weighed 2 pounds. Yesterday the vet weighed her in at 6 pounds. I couldn't believe it!! I thought I was doing so well at watching Molly's diet. My husband and friends think Molly's weight gain is due to her growing. What do you all think is causing her weight gain, her growing or am I feeding her too much?

				   | I have always free fed mine and never had an issue with one gaining to much. Now if I were to give them to many treats or the wrong kind then we would probably have an issue because they could eat a bag of treats in one training session if I allowed them to. I now use tiny pieces of boiled chicken for training.

				   | Our girl just got back from her 16 week check up and she weight in at 5.4 lbs. She is not overweight, just a big girl and looks like she will outside the standard weight for a Yorkie. |

				   | If she's a puppy, she's not being fed too much or 'overweight' -- she could just be a larger Yorkie. Doesn't mean she's fat. My boy is 17lbs. Not fat.
