| Top 3 Dog car booster seats January 2014 I would like those opinions on these seats. Which ones any of you have and feel the construction and tether straps are secure and safe I have purchased the Animal Matters Companion seat I have purchased the Snoozer Lookout 1 seat I am not impressed with tether strap on Animal Matter's seat. It is a strap that threads through to the back and clips around shoulder strap of seat belt.. seems as if in an accident that clip could fail and then my puppy would not be secured and tethered in . On the snoozer I feel it is a little more secure as the tether strap has a loop that you thread the lap belt of the seat belt through.. at least it is then secured directly to the seat belt… THEN I FOUND THIS ARTICLE that was written in January 2014 AND CALLED THE COMPANY (SOLVIT) that makes the third seat I just ordered: SOLVIT DELUXE JUMBO BOOSTER SEAT: Top 3 Dog Car Safety Seats and Booster Seat Reviews for Safe Travelling with Your Pet I just got off the phone with Solvit's customer service. I am very excited to get .. I am very impressed with the construction that it is made of: What I love most is the the way the D ring (that you hook your harness to )is secured to the plastic . This unique booster utilizes Safe-T-Core™ technology, a system of molded panels that fasten together permanently, creating a lightweight, yet super-strong structure, tested to 175 lbs. This rigid internal structure integrates with the vehicle seat belt to provide added security for pets. Pass the metal D-ring, which is fastened to the inside back panel of the plastic frame, through the small slit sewn into the lower edge of the back panel of the fabric liner. Attach the safety leash to the D-ring. PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINONS AND EXPERIENCES. I am a new paranoid puppy mom to a little girl named Zoey that is 14 weeks old !!! THANK YOU ! |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I have the Snoozer Lookout II. And I love it. It is very secure. And it even has a drawer on the bottom to put all Galen's traveling stuff. It is well made. I also have the Solvit booster seat. It is nice. It is portable. It folds up and you can leave it in the car. I use it for my emergency seat. But if I had to pick one I would say the snoozer all the way. It is comfy and safe. What more can I ask. Galen loves it

| Do you have the Jumbo Tagalong™ On-Seat Booster (this one sits on the seat)… When I talked to Solvit company ..they said you put it together 1 time.. do you have the one that the straps hang around the headrest ? This is the one I ordered? Is this the one you have ? http://www.solvitproducts.com/page/p...ter-seat-jumbo Last edited by 801kelle; 04-23-2014 at 11:30 AM. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | No. I have the one that hangs from the headrest. I bought that one for emergency and an extra just incase the seat is in the other car or have to go to vet in emergency. I did not like that Solvit because of how the seat belt held the seat. I am a nerdy researcher. And also in my back seat I have shoulder seat belts. It would not work well.. I am glad you found one you like

| I bought the medium for Zoey and am very pleased with the purchase. Here's the picture of Zoey trying it out for the first time! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...at-tested.html |

| I like the snoozer and my mom even found a safer strap that uses carabiners that rock climbers use and it's made it even safer.

| When it comes to car seat safety, I am less concerned about the seat itself and more concerned about the tether and harness used. For the seat, I go with comfort.

| I have a Companion Seat for Sophie and she loves it. The cover is removable for washing, it's comfy, and has a sturdy tether. A bit pricey, but I have no regrets! Companion Car Seats

| I have the Snoozer Lookout 1 Luxury seat.. I think this is going to be my choice of seats. I have one more on the way to check out .. but I think the Snoozer lookout is going to be the best and its easy to install. The more I have talked with people and the thought of the Solvit one seemed great at first but it is made of hard plastic and in a crash would it hold up? When I get it I will let you know my thoughts. |

| I use the Pet Gear seat most of the time because my boys like to 'stand' on the firm outer edge. We also use the Snoozer Lookout, which is more comfy for longer trips.

| I just ordered this Snoozer Lookout Luxury II for Darla. I think she'll love it and it'll give me peace of mind on our 13 hour journey across the nation. |
