| Freaking out! Right so i noticed Alfie having a pretty uncomfortable poo, loads of watery drops of god knows what. He was squatting and trying to walk, these drops were light yellow/green and were not much bigger than a bean. I decided to give his bum a wipe so he didnt get it stuck in his fur. He wasnt impressed and decided to struggle, i had to hold onto him and my hand was just under his anus, there was a small ball that i hadnt noticed before, out of curiosity i gave it a little squeeze and LOADS of nasty yellow puss cam out of his anus! There was so much of it and it stank of rotten fish! I gave it a wipe and washed my hands but now Alfie is ignoring me and sulking behind the sofa, did he not want me touching his bum or have i actually hurt him!?!??! |

| welcome to YT,could be impacted anal glands if it was yellow and had fowl smell, you should call / take him to your vet. I am sure you will get plenty of advise and suggestions from other YT members, but your vet must be consulted. If it's his anal glands your vet can take care of that. If you're not squeamish you could do it your self, but I suggest having your vet show you how to do it, don't just try to tackle it your self. I hope your lil Alfie feels better soon.

| Thats great help guys thank you, i did have a suspicion that it was his anal glands but i wasnt too sure, i am on an extended diploma doing animal management at college so i do know how to do it on exotic animals and rabbits! I will ask my tutor to do it as a trip to the vets is very pricey! |

| if it is impacted though you may need antiboitics...just a thought Lola did for her impacted and she was in a lot of pain. you could see a lil swollen egg and feel it from the outside.

| and you can also try putting him in a warm tub...if there is anything else that needs to come out that may help. i get in with her and massage her her back and surrounding area which has helped. just a thought.

| I hope little Alfie is doing ok now, watch for him scooting about on his bottom as that is a sign of anal glands being sore/ itchy.
