| ![]() Good advice and input in these replies. I cringe every time I hear someone mention Greenies. Definitely not worth the risk in my opinion.

| ![]() Bear has had cet dental sticks since our first visit to the vet (1/2 stick/day then) and now has a couple of whole petite sticks each day. He's never choked on them. He gets one when he goes in his crate at night and never chews it in there but every morning when he gets up and out for his bathroom duties, he runs back to his crate and gets it. His teeth are very clean, so they must be working! |

| ![]() I do feed Greenies for a treat less than once a month....none of my Yorkies are gulpers. I started feeding Greenies over 9 years ago to Rusty and they were of questionable materials then, but he loved them. I think he only likes them now. All of my Yorkies take off alone and enjoy their Greenie. I only buy the PETITE size.

| ![]() Buster does this and scared me to death when he tried to swallow too large a piece of one of the chews that look like a toothbrush. He was choking and I had to stick my finger down his throat to pull it out.

| ![]() I used to feed Greenies until I had issues with Prince getting them stuck in the sides his mouth...big chunks of them. He LOVED Dentastix, and I was finally able to wean him off them when he lost most of his teeth at his last dentist appts. He found one a few weeks after his dental and was trying to chew it and I had to take it away from him. I've since replaced his Dentastix with lowfat pupperoni's...still not my "ideal" treat for him, but it's the only stick like thing I've been able to find that's soft enough for him to chew that he will eat. |

| ![]() Very scary! Thank goodness you were able to get it out of Buster's throat. I've had to do this with Teddy when he managed to get a large piece of his CET chew -- easier than a greenie though.

| ![]() It has been hard to find a good chew for him as we are cutting back on his bully sticks as he wants to swallow those as well. I really enjoy the Beams but have had to cut them into really small pieces as he wants to gulp those down as well. One time after he threw up because he gagged himself with a bit of the beams I was surprised with how slow the beams break down. I became concerned with these big jerky bits building up in his stomach. I just found these new Cod skins that are actually more brittle and less like jerky that Buster loves. The search for the safe and satisfying chew treat continues.

Swallowing big pieces is scary. We had to give up Texas Toothpicks after Teddy swallowed a sizable piece. When he threw it up, he went limp and I thought he was dying. ![]() Nothing is safe with my boys. I hold the CET chews for them, but they are still dangerous.

| ![]() My search continues as well...I've tried many things and Winston is just not interested. I guess he just isn't a chewer, but I still wish I could find something other than his kibble that he'd chew on.

| ![]() These are the new Cod Skins that I put in a kong holder for Buster. I like them because they are brittle and not like jerky so no Buster choking hazard. They are not a long lasting chew but Buster loves them and I figure they are good for skin & coat. I have been buying the tube for $12 but after checking their site this might be a better bargain. https://www.polkadog.com/shop.php?ma...0#.UzxT5axqOPQ
