| I lost Yumi's hair bands and found out something neat! Just thought I'd share. I got my nieces rubber band looms for xmas, and found these when I was looking for refill bands a week or so after xmas. Amazon.com: 1800 Mixed Rubber Band Color Bands... Before I had seen the kids I lost yumi's bands, so I stole a couple of their bracelet bands. They actually seemed to work better than the orthodontic I usually use on her. they're a bit bigger, but I don't think I've had to cut a single band out of her hair using them, even with mom's dog teddy chewing on her topknot until the topknot it's self was a tangled ratty mess. I picked at the tangles with my fingers and the band slid right out. 1800 bands for $5 isn't bad! I don't know about all the brands of rubber band bracelet bands but I've tried 2 different kinds on her now and neither tangled bad. the other brand was stiffer and broke a little easier though. I don't remember where the other brand came from we went a little crazy of the rubber bands for a while :P |

| We have been using those too. I love the variety of colors you get in each package. I got mine at 7-11 one day when I went to pick up a coffee.

| I was really surprised how much I liked them. I wouldn't even have tried it if it wasn't all I could find at the time. I even hunted down a seem ripper before I tried to take the 1st one out expecting it to be horrible. :P |

| I use them too, the hair doesn't get twisted nearly as much and Lola doesn't mess up her hair as much, so I guess they're more comfortable. |

| I bet you could make neat necklace for a dog out of them too. they have some really cool designs on youtube. Might need a few looms connected together to make them loose enough though. |

| They look like nice bands but they are rubber and rubber can easily break those tiny hairs around the face. The rubber has tiny little slits that the hair gets easily tangled in. Amazon.com: Latex Free Dog Grooming Bands by... These are latex free and don't cling to the tiny hairs. They are still a good price and one bag lasts me at least a year and that is with replacing bands more than once a day sometimes. Using the specially made band scissors to cut the bands out at night helps keep the hair intact as well. |

| The bands I posted are silicone not latex. They're just for rubber band looms. |

Gracie is not fond of having her topknot done so the less time going around with the band the better for us. I do like the texture of the colored bands and they are much like the smaller clear ones. The main difference is the size. If your pup likes them that is all that matters. | |
