| ![]() I'm buying Henri a stroller! ![]() I wasn't planning on buying one for him because I didn't think we needed it/would use it. Henri loves to walk and so that is what he does, but I go to events that are dog friendly and bring him along. It is NOT easy having him on a leash at these crowded events, I can't even count how many times he was almost stepped on! Carrying him gets tiring and its hard to do much at the events when my arms are full, I have even tried a carrier but it doesn't help much. I don't want to leave him at home as these events are great socializing for him and he loves the attention he gets from people, he is such a little charmer ![]() I am buying a stroller. Decision made. Time to shop. I probably won't be buying it for a few months yet but I figured I might as well start looking it to it now. So, YTers, I have a mission for you! Please post pictures of your pups in their adorable strollers and please answer these questions: 3 wheel vs 4 wheel? Brands? Where can I get a decently priced one that won't break the bank? What color? Thanks! ![]()

| ![]() I have the petgear 4 wheel stroller, it's about $50 on ebay. I use the stroller in places where Lola isn't allowed to walk (stores) or it isn't safe for her to walk. I try to let her walk as much as possible, but it's not worth her getting stepped on. So far I've used it at the mall, outlet stores, and Kohls. I took it to a pet expo but it was so crowded I decided to carry her. |

| ![]() I'm sure you'll get many opinions on strollers but I LOVE the quality and all the features of our new Promenade stroller! We take ours to the park quite often and I took it to a pet show this past fall. Your decision may come down to how often and where you plan on using your stroller. I wish I had been thinking of the quality before purchasing my first one! My previous stroller was a 4-wheel made by PetGear. I purchased it off of eBay for $60.00. Unfortunately after using it for approximately a year, the front wheels kept falling off! Not good when you're crossing a 4 lane road during rush hour! Maybe I was one of the unlucky ones that had a poorly made stroller, IDK! ![]() One of our very own YT members, Kristin (Maximo) carries the Prominade Stroller and she's excellent to work with also! ![]() Promenade Pet Stroller by Gen7Pets |

| ![]() We have the Pet gear NV three wheel. Works great on all terrain, and we can easily do a 5K with it. Has inflatable wheel and shock absorbers.

| ![]() I have the petgear 4 wheel stroller like Yasmine had...but in leopard print. My wheels haven't fallen off (yet) but we haven't used it a whole lot. This is my 3rd stroller and I like it better than the other 2. Both of my boys fit in it and we've used in on pavement, in the grass, at dog shows, craft shows, shopping stores etc etc. It's necessary when you are trying to wrangle 2 dogs in public. It also comes in handy on walks. I have a 2 year old and a 10 year old and the 10 year old cannot go as far as my little guy so I pop the old man in the stroller and we keep going. If I start using it often enough this summer, or I start jogging this summer, I am going to invest in the Dogger stroller. I imagine the suspension is way better than the petgear stroller. I can't imagine trying to jog with that thing!! |

| ![]() I am a runner and chose the pet gear NV over all the rest for the suspension handling and weight. We have done 5ks, 10 mile, and 1/2 marathon runs with it and it has been the best. Plus it has the no zip cover when we are around big dogs etc. I highly recommend it. Because the front tire can be adjusted it is great on rough terrain.

| ![]() I apologize for jumping in like this but this really peaked my interest. I've had my Snickers for 5m and love going out with her. We generally go for rides in the country in the car. My DH drives and I sit in back with Snickers in her car carrier. I'd LOVE to go to stores, etc and take her with me but I wasn't sure if they'd allow a dog in. As I was reading it sounded like its acceptable if I'd have her in a stroller. Is that correct? Kohls, Mall, Christmas Tree Shop, etc? I'd love to hear your input. Thanks. |

| ![]() This varies. Service dogs have unlimited access to public places, but pets do not. That being said, some places (without food) often welcome well behaved pets in strollers. Most strollers have a "cover" that usually looks like an umbrella that will either zip or click closed if needed. Often dogs that are young are not trained and socialized enough to go out in public. If they get stressed they might bite or growl or bark. You might try some out door window shopping first. Remember the public does not understand that not all dogs like to be petted and are not always appropriate with their approach. A good start would be to go to a pet store with your pup, they are almost always welcome there. Be prepared that you may be asked to leave and just be gracious about it.

| ![]() The 3 wheel Pet Gear NV is great on rough terrain. You are correct it is expensive though. The best price I found on it was @ Drs Foster & Smith. I wore the wheels off (or they broke) of two other strollers that had hard wheels on them. But then I run with it so it gets used fairly hard and we got parks and such. Guess we use it a lot. It is large so she can have a friend along too.

| ![]() I haven't used my stroller outside much, I think it would be ok on grass but not so good on gravel. For my needs the stroller is fine, but if I ran or needed it for rougher areas I'd buy a different one. I just don't know which. A local pet store has a bunch of pet gear and gen7 strollers between $100-250 IMO they don't feel like they're better quality and I like my stroller better. The only thing I don't like about the stroller is it doesn't have a tether. |

| ![]() I think the doggie stroller is a wonderful idea for people who go to outdoor or indoor activities where a lot of walking is done. It protects you pet from strangers and from hot sidewalks and pavement, not to mention any unexpected weather events. Having a little hideaway where they can view everything and be comfortable I'm sure is great for them. Of course you can always take them out on a leash when need be. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() I went through the same thing as you. I never thought I would buy a stroller. I went to a yorkie event and three people almost stepped on Galen. That was it. I was getting a stroller. I started looking asked about them and looked at a bunch others had at events. I figured I was going to use it for the rest of his life. If I buy a cheap one I may not get all the things I would like and in few years I would have to replace it. I also figured I am doing events in the city and in parks. I wanted wheels that worked both. I wanted air filled tires and decided on three wheels. I found a few that were middle price and three that were at high end. Well I showed my DBF a chemist, knows a lot about plastic and metal. I asked him what he thought. Mind you he also agreed we needed one for Galen. He thought the three high end ones were best. ( I did tell him how much they were ) Then he picked the strollers apart. He said for the price that the Dogger stroller was the best. It was well made and will last. So we got it. I have to say it is even better then expected. We were out in the ice and snow and went through it like a champ. I am so glad we got it. Well worth the price. Extremely well made

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() It also has two tethers and in the picture I have my handbag behind Galen and part of the blanket. I have two fluff blankets in there. It was extremely cold and it had just snowed.
