Those ears! Well Athena is now 10 1/2 weeks old. all is going great so far. but THOSE EARS! One is up and one is down. Keep waiting for the other one to, but it seems to want to be stubborn. I keep massaging the one that is down, but so far no good. she sure is cute though. Last edited by R-Teddy; 03-05-2014 at 08:23 PM.

| Athena is adorable! I wouldn't worry too much, at 10 1/2 wks old, about the ear not being up. They'll probably go up and down several times in the next couple of months due to teething. You can clip the hair on the top half of the ears with a mustache trimmer to help keep any extra weight off, that'll help. My Yogi's ears did this. I just made sure to keep the ear tips clipped short and that helped them to stay up. It took him a couple of years to develop strong enough ears to stay up even when his hair got a little long on them. This is how his ears looked when he was young. He's 4 months old here. You can see how I have his ear tips shaved to keep the weight off them. Here's how he looks now at 5 years old.

you can try taping if you are concerned.... but we got Lilah at 12 weeks and she had one floppy ear...it stood up on its own a couple weeks later. I would suggest keeping the ear hair shaved to help it.....her ears look a bit on the bigger side so this may help it lighten the weight

Bella's ears were down until about 6 or 7 months of age, so there is still plenty of time for the other ear to go up.

Thanks everyone. I will shave the tips, no problem, but I wont tape them . its not that important to me. she doesnt at the moment have a whole lot of hair on the tips however. Well, I guess it depends. I mean there is a lot of hair there, but its not long to point of overlapping her ear.
