| ![]() It sounds like putting him down will save him so much pain. Surgery might fix the cleft pallet, but the seizures and all? I don't think so. It's a hard decision, I know. Prayers your way.

Im so sorry for you and my heart goes out to you. When my boxer had puppies one of them had a severe cleft pallette and she was really suffering because she could not eat and she was getting weaker and sicker by the day and the vet said she would never be able to so I also had to put her down. You just have to rememebr that its your job to provide them with the best care and love that you can and if they are suffereing then ending that suffering is the best way to show them how much you love them, no matter how hard the desicsion is. You did the right thing and I will keep you in my prayers ![]()

| ![]() You did a great thing by offereing Tinsel your home, even if it was a short stay. That little bit of love was all that was needed. You are on our prayers.

| ![]() I am very sorry for the pain you are suffering. I know first hand how much it hurts. My husband held our beloved cancer riddled chow in his arms and I held her paw while she drifted off into that eternal painless sleep. Sending hugs your way, go ahead and shed your tears, they help cleanse the soul. |

| ![]() Im really sorry you have to go through all this. I experienced the same dillema when my chihuhua was hit by a car and it is so difficult to decide. Taking the decision to put him down shows how selfless you are and how much you think of that puppy's pain.

| ![]() I know there is nothing I can say to ease the hurt and pain you have right now but here is a HUG !! Bless you for getting Tinsel and his sister when you did at Wal-mart and if its any comfort will you try to remember that you have done everything you can for the little one and sometimes no matter how it hurts those of us left here we must do what is right for our little buddies. My tears are running as I think of all the times I have tried in vain to save a rescued baby and how you are feeling now.. I stated before that you were a saint for getting these two and in my book you still are!!

| ![]() At the worest point of my life today at 10am I held him while they put him to sleep. I pray that he goes to God and is welcomed as a pure and innocent soul that he was. I spent the afternoon in my tool shed making him a very pretty pine box,and tomorrow I'll take him home and bury him under my apple tree. He was a good boy and a sweetheart that didn't need the pain he was in. but he's at peace now. Thank You all for your prayers and kindness. I'm going to go snuggle Noel now. and hope God let's me keep this other Angel. my daughters [human ones} are so suprising how easy they accpeted that he's gone to heaven. I'm finding holding his blue blanket I made for him hard. Many Thanks Eggs and Noel. God Hold You Tinsel.

I disagree with what was said about the Cleft in a puppy I have a little one that has survived it in the begining it was really rough I had to tube and Bottle feed her but she is now 10 months old and doing great I have included a picture of my little Dribbles to show you the close up of her cleft
