below is one of the threads that came to mind about being taken in by a fancy internet web site breeder. Had this gal only asked what we thought of this breeder she would have saved herself a lot of heartache and money.

You also say that you are in love with the color of the this pup, do you realize that the color will change, they change in Yorkies but they really change in Morkies. I have seen many that start out looking like a yorkie which yours does, but then turn almost 100% light blond by a year. I happen to like that look and we have several beautiful Morkies on YT, but just wanted you to be prepared for that. To me the look of my dog is important, so while others say it is to the benefit of the pup to stay with their mom till about 12 weeks, selfishly I like to wait till 3-4 months because at that age you will have a much better idea of the look and weight of the adult dog. LOL some days I think I will scream if I read another post where they say the breeder told me my dog would be 5 lbs only to have it wind up at 5 lbs at 3 to 4 months of age.

I wish you much luck and happiness with whatever pup you bring into your home and I am hoping you are going in with eyes wide open and not wearing rose colored glasses.

Yes, I'm aware that he will change colors, it's why I said I will be keeping track so I can document the change.im actually very fascinated by the sometimes extreme color change, I think it's pretty neat. Though I do not prefer an all light dog, that wouldn't discourage me from all the bows, sweaters, hats and little jackets . He will still be my baby even if he fades all the way to silver or white. The only reason I even say I don't prefer one is because my other 2 dogs were both white and I wanted a different look for this pup but I knew when I began researching the breed that whatever pup I got was likely not going to remain the same

It is so fun getting a new pup, and I share in your joy of thinking about every little detail. What an exciting time. I hope he is an absolute angel and lives up to his sweet name. (BTW, what is the tv show.... I like angels too)

There are many opinions on diet, but most important is to make sure that all nutrients necessary for proper growth and development are provided, especially in the first year. Home cooking is one option but should be done under the guidance of a pet nutritionist. I did partial homecooking for mine for a few years, but included a high quality kibble to make sure they got essential vitamins and nutrients.

There are plenty of good ones, yes a few recalls here and there, and we all know not to trust any food from China. It's good to be educated, however try not to get too caught up in the food hype, and know that there will always be differing opinions. In my opinion look for a high rated good quality food to meet the nutritional needs, and hopefully don't develop a picky eater. You will adjust as you go along and as needs change.

sorry I missed this post earlier, I am pretty sure it's not problem to ask opinions about breeders because it is done a lot.

nice name, keep it.....your on the right track, preplanning, home cooking...puppy class.....you're going to make a GREAT mom .I also saw the pic... soooooo cute, please keep up updated and send pics of his growth and coloring.
