Has anyone used a wireless fence with success for their Yorkie?

Honestly though that's kinda like saying it's ok to beat your kid if they do wrong. Sorry but I still see it as abuse. Yes it's very sad her dog died but it shouldn't have been punished with a shock collar and neither should the new pup for what the old did.

You obviously missed something in my message reread it. Emphasis is on enclosure and supervision..... steering away from invsofence....... the shocker is a false sense of security, it wouldn't work here. She's gonna do what she's gonna do... That is her choice! Don't CHASE people away from here or they will QUIT asking with out input from others.... That would leave that person at the mercy of a salesman......... That would be a BIGGER crime. IMO

No. It's not okay to abuse you next dog or your next child because of what happened to a previous one. If anything you become MORE PROTECTIVE and go overboard trying to keep them safe.

That person probably already has the stupid collar on her dog. I've been here long enough to know when someone says "don't post about your negative stories, because I don't want to hear them" they have already made up their mind and are either going to do it or already have and just want someone else to say it's okay, so they don't feel so guilty about abusing their dog.

No one is getting scared of here because of the truth. The pet owners who come here and ask real questions and want real answers and who genuinely care about their pets are going to see through all the drama and bill crap and see the members who care just as much about their pets.

You can't chase some one away they make the choice to leave and it is 100% there choice.

I was bullied on here and I still stayed it was my choice to leave or not, not anyone else's. People make there own choices how someone takes a post or reacts to a post is all on them even if there called names or anything else. No one can make someone else do something unless some one is holding a gun to there head and I am simply not doing that. If you break the rules you can get suspended it has happened to a lot of us and I even tried to blame mine on someone else but in the end I choose to react the way I did.

No you were suspended for attacking a member (me). You are not the angel in that story that you are professing to be. You could not wrap around your brain the fact the my opinions differ greatly from yours and you got angry. So let's just get that straight and stop harping about it because it is simply a lie that you are trying to tell yourself.

People only leave because they choose to leave. I have had plenty of people disagree with my opinions and I have not left. This is an online forum and either people get it or they don't....no one has the *power* to run someone off. This forum has moderators and and admin and IF someone is abusive to another it is taken care of. So....unlike many other forums, people are not allowed to attack others. Opinions are NOT attacks.

Yes, I have been suspended for breaking rules. Many of us have.

Hi Mark - normally I'd address this privately but since you keep bringing this up publicly, it seems it needs to be addressed publicly. As you probably know now - after being here a while, YT is a true community. In any/every community, there *will* be conflict - and we really do have to learn to just deal with it and move forward. Believe me, like everyone else I've endured my share of conflict here - and are there times when I'd like to make a snarky comment about it? Sure, you bet; I'm only human. But we all have to rise above that junk and just keep going. I'd like to ask that you try to let go of the feelings that are driving you to continue to make certain insinuations about your past situation, the suspension, and your conflict with whomever. Can we just please move forward? It's the appropriate thing to do, and is actually inline w/ YT's rules as our rules state that suspensions aren't to be discussed -- as that inevitably causes problems. Try to focus on the good that keeps you here. Thanks .

While I agree that only a person can choose on their own to leave, I think we have the power to either make YT a positive, helpful place for someone or a negative place for him/her. I'm very sensitive, and I most definitely think I might have left YT if people had been harsh in the beginning. We have a choice to make YT a compassionate community which embraces open dialogue, the freedom to exchange differing opinions, and which offers support and friendship for those in need. For the most part, I think we are achieving that goal but there's always room to make it even better. YT is such a special place for me. I have gained so much from the compassionate members here and have people who have become very dear friends. I think we need to be honest and true to our convictions, but we also need to think of the person behind the screen and how they are feeling. Of course we need to speak out when we feel an animal is being harmed; I really respect those who are always being the voice for our pups who can't speak for themselves.

I'm sorry if my post is considered telling people how to post; it is not my intent. I'm reacting to whether we drive people away. I believe we do at times, and it makes me sad to see that, and a lot of pups suffer as a result.

I don't totally disagree with what you are saying......I believe that we do have a very positive forum. Yes, there is always room for improvement ..and that means everyone imho. Each person is answerable to themselves. No one on this forum has the best way to answer questions. The other issue as I see it is that not everyone has the same manner of posting...people can choose to listen to what they think will help them...or leave the rest. Sometimes the overly positive, gushing posts make me want to run. I have a problem with that... I don't want to hear what I want to hear. I want the truth. I have to say that most people who leave would probably leave their pups to suffer anyway. I just don't think we have as much power as some would choose to believe. I have seen people come to this forum asking for advice and no matter who presented the advice or how they presented it made the OP happy. Why? Because many come here wanting to hear what they want to hear. I am not one to feed that madness. You know that old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it". Many people come to online forums to hear only what they choose to hear. If they leave, it is because they chose to leave. Period. (My opinion. )
