| Lazy girl!!! My 4 year old has bags and bags of energy and gets very excited and manic at the thought go going out,but is not really keen on walking. Sometimes she walks really well pulling at the lead, and then for no'apparent reason, she just puts her feet down and will not move!!!! It's not because she is tired as sometimes it's right at the start of the walk. Today for instance....got out of car, walked into park, then walked very slowly, very reluctantly then after10 mins at snail speed she suddenly realised we were going to the cafe( she loves meeting people, dogs, children and people watching) she sped up and pulled on the lead to get there. On the way back snail speed and then her feet dig in and totally refuses to walk. I can either drag her which is too brutal for me,or I carry her!!!! Any thoughts???? My last yorkie walked for miles and miles in all weathers!!! |

| She obviously is very smart and knows when she want to go fast and when she doesn't. hehe. she sounds like a lil firecracker. she has you trained very well. I hope others will chime in with experience as two of mine walk and walk and one is in stroller. lol she will freeze as soon as you put the leash on her harness and not move one inch. Lola has me trained well...she even gets picked up from bed and carried to her potty spot every morning and she will wait on the bed until I scoop her up and let her out!!! hahaha

| I think she is just a typical Yorkie. My first Yorkie Max was like that ,he just loved being carried and would only walk when it suited him but give him a football and he would chase it around for hours lol. I now have have Alfie and Lottie and they don't mind walking but if worried about anything Lottie would prefer to be lifted.

| She apparently knows where she wants to go. She is not happy about where you are taking her for some reason. I would find another area where she feels more comfortable. |

| It's the same wherever we go. She is worse when it is a walk she doesn't know but she can do it even on her favourite walks |
