| I don't think I could have any of my dogs stuffed. I can't see how it would give me any comfort...I truly think it would be harder to have their lifeless bodies nearby. I guess to each his own!

| Same here. To have a cold, still, lifeless Tibbe that didn't respond to me at all would be awful. I don't think I could bear it but apparently those that do it get a great deal of comfort from that image of their dear pet nearby. I can't stand to touch anything dead and I think it would seem like a dead Tibbe!

I remember seeing a clip of the TV show about this. If it brings someone comfort, I say go for it. For me, it would make me sadder about the loss.

| My grandma kept EVERYTHING. When we asked, she would say she was keeping it "for sentimental reasons" (needless to say we had a LOT of stuff to go through when she passed) and once when we were moving her from one house to another, she refused to let us throw anything out- Lol, my brother smarted off and said "its a good thing we buried grandpa or she'd have him stuffed and sitting on the couch "for sentimental reasons". I don't think I could stuff my pets or my spouse.

I have read many news stories where older people have had a hard time letting go of a spouse who has died at home. Dad and I have already agreed that he will be cremated and that I will keep him in an urn mixed with his favorite coffee. I will talk to the urn. He suggested putting eyeballs on it with his eyeglasses. Then he will be interned when I die.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I've seen shows on TV that do it me myself not sure I could ever do it. Hubby always teases me that he will have my baby Quincy done when he passes but I always say he better NOT. I guess is wouldn't be that creepy having their physical being there to remind me of him/them but I just prefer to keep the memories of them in my heart and I don't need a daily reminder of that laying in my living room. But if I ever change my mind I have a nephew who is a taxidermist and I an get a discount !

| I am always terribly upset at the passing of my pets but having a quiet resting place for their remains has always brought some peace. I know people who live in apartments that have paid to receive the ashes of their much loved pets. Having a stuffed version of a loyal pet would not be at all comforting to me. I think it would actually lengthen the mourning time to have their once lively bodies in my home. |

| UM NO! Like NO! Its weird enough that I have a self in my den with ALL of the pets ashes, collars and a picture. My DH wont let me bury them. He doesn't want them left behind if we move. |

| Maybe you can market stuffed snugglers on your website! There are so many advantages to having one...or a few... |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | It is not for me but if others want to do it go for it. It would just make me too sad to see them like that.

| Someone does make a product that is a stuffed pair of jeans and a shirt to snuggle. There is also "Safety Man" that was made for women to put in their car, or for people who want to drive in the carpool lanes and need an extra body.

| I'm with you... It would depress me more because I would not have their personalities.

| I couldn't do it. To me, that's kind of weird. Could you stuff a dead human relative to keep him/her around? What's the difference? Last edited by Christinee; 01-24-2014 at 07:42 AM. |

| American Stuffers was the name of the show on Animal Planet. They actually stuffed a yorkie that had been killed by a hawk |
