YT 1000 Club Member | Rasta Attacked A Saint Bernard!!!! One of my neighbors who is completely irresponsible when it comes to pets....Example: They were out of town for Christmas/ New Years and left their 2 dogs (husky mix and Saint Bernard) without food and water...this had to be at least 5 days. To their credit they filled up their food bowl before they left so I'm sure the dogs were okay the first 3 days food wise . Their husky (who they never walk because they say she won't use a leash) has been digging under our shared fence, dug far enough to stick her paw under. Last night the Saint Bernard, which is huge btw, stuck its paw under the fence. I think he/she was trying to get a toy Rasta was playing with. Rasta was having none of it and bit the Bernards paw until the other dog pulled its paw back on its side of the fence ( he just didn't want to let go of the other dog). Granted the Bernard was intruding on Rasta's "territory", but sheesh! I blocked the hole but since their husky mix is always in the yard, never gets walked, and I'm sure just all around bored I'm sure another hole will pop up sooner or later. How would y'all deal with this situation? I'm tempted to just call the MP's the next time it happens so they can just pick the dogs up. Note: They know their husky mix digs...a few months ago she dug a hole large enough to get in our yard (4th time). She crawled under the fence and was in our yard knocking over our son's toys until I heard something and let them know they needed to get their dog. Also the neighbor on the other side of them said the husky has been digging on her side too. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That's terrible that they left them for 5 days. I know my 3 would have eaten most if not all of the food the first day. I would report them for the dogs sake and before something bad happens to yours or someone else's dog or children.

YT 1000 Club Member | If you're really intent on a permanent fix, then... Get a bag of Concrete. Mix and fill the hole to about 2" below grade. Fill up to Grade with Dirt (you don't have to let the Concrete dry) Grass will grow back in the Dirt and mask the barrier. It only takes a couple inches of Concrete, to provide a solid barrier.

| We had a Beagle that loved to dig under the gate. We used the concrete trick and it worked like a charm.....
