I've been so busy lately and have now just gotten around to seeing this. I am sorry that some people took this opportunity to chastise you during this already stressful and scaring time for you and for Allie and those precious pups. I know how hard it must have been for you to come her and share your experience and you should be very proud of that. I also know how very hard all of this has been on you personally not to mention Allie but you got through it. Thankfully with the help of so many wonderful member here on YT who stepped up and offered assistance. Like you, some have gone down this same very scary road and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. It takes a strong person to go through what you did and come out successful in many ways. You may not see that way now, but you will once you hand those babies to their new families. If it were not for you and your family stepping in until Allie was able to resume her role as mamma things would have gone a whole other and sad direction and regardless of what some may say or think about you, believe me when I say you did everything in your power to see to it that Allie and those pups were healthy safe and sound. No one can predict these things so there is no need to beat yourself up over it. You did more for her and those pups than some would have. That in itself says a lot about your integrity and compaction for animals not to mention those wee little skin babies you tend to. They are all very lucky to have you in their lives!! Whatever people take from your story rather it be good or bad hopefully you can help others by sharing your experience ! |

Just wondering how mommy and her babies are doing, and how the human family is holding up with all the increased activity. |
I haven't been on in a few days and just now seeing this post. Sorry about the terrible attitude and rude comments you received while trying to do your best for others who think its easy having puppies. I am so glad to hear that Allie is caring for her babies and so glad to hear they are all doing well. Can't wait to see the puppy pictures! Hoping you and your family get some rest! |

Fantastic news! |
Puppies are all gaining. Mom is doing good. We just got back from the vet and moms incisions looks great, 3 of the 4 puppies have had their tails docked and all 4 had dewclaws removed. Just wondering why one pup did not get its tail docked? So very happy to find how well all are doing. You are to be applauded for being such a good Yorkie mommy - know it has not been easy:D |
So happy to hear good news! |

And yes, she will be spayed. The boys will be neutered before the pups are even ready to go to their new homes. |

Hello all, newbie here. McheleM, I am so sorry for all you have gone through with your puppy crisis and I'm glad everything has worked out. I couldn't read the whole thread because rainbows was making my southern show. I'm still struggling with biting my, well my finger I guess. Anywho...Hello all, congrats on the pups, and I love the puppy name. |
I love her name// so happy everything is going so well |

I really feel the same way you do. It's a shame this happened to the wee dog. I'm glad your going to take steps to ensure it doesn't happen again. Although I'd love to live in a house full of Yorkies and puppies I'd never breed. I became friends with my breeder before getting a dog from her and she told me all she goes through and the risks involved. |

at least you are taking all the right steps to care for them properly, some solid people on here to give you great advice |
Glad to hear things are going so well after the rough start. Congrats on keeping the little girl. My Brody has an undocked tail and I just love it. I am assuming you will post some pix of the babies and mommy...looking forward to seeing them. |
Love that you are keeping a little girl, and keeping full tail. It will be exciting to see her grown up on Yorkie Talk. |
Today's weights Lyric (Buttercup) 4.25 Lark 5.35 Lancer 4.65 And Lace 5.70 |

Everyones entitled to their opinion, and I understand there are a lot of people who feel the same way you and the rainbow person feel. It's not how she feels that was the problem. It was her attitude and the way she came across as "holier than thou" , as if she's never made a mistake. I know that there are a lot of people here who disagree with breeding except by professional and experienced breeders. It's sad when breeders feel they can't post about their litters because of the fallout and opinions of others on this site, and a lot of the breeders, who can help and give information are being run off. Not that it changes anything but even breeders listed on the AKC site aren't always on the up and up-that's actually where I found the breeder where I got Allie and Noah from! On the surface, she appeared to be a good breeder, and then I found this site and all these red flags popped up, starting with her letting a 7 week old puppy go. After Noah got parvo, she became unreachable, even though she swore I had a "breeder" for life and could come to her with anything. I didn't know 3 years ago what I know now, and would never buy from a breeder like that again. I got Westley from a reputable breeder right here on yorkietalk, although she doesn't post much. And for the record, Allie has been spayed. |
