| Help me with my yorkie poo HELLO FORUM I just got my 3 month old yorkie poo and I'm having trouble getting him to poop on the wee wee pads but he will pee on the pads. I put him in his spot on the wee wee pads and tell him to go potty and he will pee. He will even drink water and make himself pee. He only poops sometimes. I praise him everytime he goes. But I'm having a hard time getting him to poop all the time on the pads. He poops on the carpet on the bed or anywhere except the wee wee pad. Its wintertime and its cold outside so I don't bring him outside yet. Does anyone have any suggestions. Because I'm at my wits end! |

| put the potty pad in the tub and make him pee and poop on it in there. sit with him until he poops on it ...or you can try putting his poop on the pad and leaving it there if he isnt a poop eater. maybe that help him understand. best wishes and hopefully others chime in.

| Sophie perfers to pee and poop in different places. Maybe the pup just needs more pads.

| I found n awesome spray that worked way better than the natures miracle to put on the pads, showing them where to go. It's made by the people that sell the little squirt and big squirt potty pad holders. I think the company name is little rascal, and the bottle I got was the blue one. I only used it like twice, and after those two short times spraying the pad, no more accidents. They also sell both the pad holders with artificial turf, maybe he would like that for pooping instead of the pads? |

| I can't help you here. I still can't see my girl ever pooping on a pad. Usually a walk, short or long, will "bring on" the poo. She always goes on the grass but first has to sniff and hunt to find the "right spot". Then she spins several times and goes. It just seems so natural. I can't imagine her just walking over to a pee pad and doing her business! Having her certainly ensures I get at least one walk a day. In bad weather we sometimes won't walk her (she hates rain) she will just let us know and will go in her little fenced area and find a good spot, so a walk is not ALwAyS required. By the way, the dogs I know prefer the cold weather over the hot, so don't let a little cold stop you from training her to go outside. If your baby does the poo dance (spins in a circle while sniffing the ground) that is the time to take her outside (or to her pad). After she goes have a treat ready immediately. I often had to yell for hubby to quick get the treat as I was rushing her out the door! |

| Help! My little girl is a very bad eater, have to feed her by hand and that isn't the half of it she eats her own poo, rather than food other puppies would kill for :'( |

| Have you tried picking him up and moving him as he's doing the deed? Once the poo lands in the right spot, reward, reward, reward.

| Yes I have tried removing it and all she does then is not to do it on her pad, but everywhere else and then finds it later. I have now resorted to covering it with peri-peri if I find it, in the hope she won't eat it then Last edited by Penelope22; 12-24-2013 at 08:46 AM. |

| This is not part of this thread topic which is not about EATING poo, but rather WHERE they poo. Penelope should start a new thread. |
