5 month old eating poop?!

Pineapple never worked for me. Milo ate his poop for a long time. He finally stoped. He is 2 1/2 now so maybe he outgrowed it. He eats natural balance duck and potato small breed food. Maybe that's why he stopped because we changed his food too

Ours is a "new to us" 10-12 year old, he occasionally hits his pile for a snack. We tell him "no", he walks away. He gets cooked chicken, ect in addition to his dry food. It's not totally abnormal... just gross. LOL

Some dog food already has probiotics in it, but there's not much in there to really be beneficial. If you can, I would slowly transition her to a better premium food. Don't want to scare you, but there has been cases of Beneful being not so benefiting for our pets. Maybe a simple food switch will stop her poopie eating!

I give my guys Pro Bloom by The Honest Kitchen, it's goat's milk (comes in dehydrated powder form, you just add warm water to it) w/probiotics & digestive enzymes.

Thank you for this thread, my 1 year old lady just returned from a backyard with her mouth full of $&)@, GROSS! So I guess it is time for some pineapple and diet changes! The posted article was especially useful and I hope I will be able to report a success soon!

So, I have been feeding Lola Artemis samples I got in the mail and since she's been eating that she hasn't touched her poop! I felt so relieved when she stopped lol. Now to get her to understand she needs to poop on a pad! haha

I was going to say the same thing. My Shih Tzu is really bad about eating poo until I started doing this.

When our baby was little she loved to eat poop.We tried things from the vet and they did not work.Then we tried the pineapple thing and in 5 months no more poop eating.Susan
