| Gizmo the smarty pants, or so he thinks :-) So earlier while I was cooking dinner, I heard Gizmo playing around near his kibble bowl, and he had spilled it all over the kitchen floor. I was tired so I thought well I will just let him nibble it and clean it up in a bit. Well him and I were sitting on the couch, watching tv and my gray and white tuxedo cat comes downstairs , goes in the kitchen and goes and eats his dinner which is up on top of a cabinet so Gizmo can't get it, then he goes potty and back upstairs to sleep. Gizmo had waited till bruiser the kitty went back upstairs, goes running in the kitchen like he is checking his food, and starts barking to high heavens lol. I go in there and he looks up at me, then looks at the food on the floor and starts barking again, he did this like five times hahaha. He was trying to blame the cat for the mess he had made earlier :-) yorkies are such little smarties heehe. I just started laughing because he was trying so hard to convince me the cat had done it. What is even funnier is this is the one cat he chases all the time out of the three I have. I think he was trying to justify why he chases the cat, like he was saying do you see? This is why I chase him lol. Last edited by Sunnydayz; 12-02-2013 at 09:18 PM. |

| A yorkie without mischief is like a bowling ball without a liquid center.

| Leave it to these little ones, they'll try to convince us of anything. My Winston begs to go outside, squats and makes a "fake" poopie...just to get the treat. I have seen him do this many, many times...I've checked, there is no "real" poopie!!!

| Magnus lifts his hind leg to make it look like he's peeing. But he doesn't. He knows I will stop walking to let him pee so he just does it to gain more sniffing time for whatever reason. |

| Not quite.. He does the side glance to see if I'm watching him. When I see him do that, then it usually means he's just stalling. When he's REALLY desperate for more time, I think he tries to squeeeeeeze out at least a drop of pee. ROFL |

| Mine does the hike/fake peepee to get a treat. He has learned that I have to see the evidence before I will treat, though.

| Haha, Minnie used to do that fake pee. And then as soon as we got inside she would go right in the middle of the floor and sit, looking up with the puppy dog eyes. It was a hard habit to break with Minnie, so I never give treats to Cookie for going to the bathroom.

| Megan never bothered with the fake pee or poo, she went outside turned right around, and came back inside expecting a treat. Gina gets lots of praise, but no treats for going pee or poo, just when we make her work through her training, and when she's posing for pics. Cheers Quad & Gina

| Yeah, the treat for good potty has kinda backfired because if there is no one around to provide the treat, Huey just goes anywhere he wants. He knows outside on the deck or in the garage are the two approved areas, as well a the potty pad inside, but unless he gets a treat, he doesn't care.

| I have always treated for poopies outside, but never have for going pee...just a lot of praise. He's 100% trained and has never had a single accident in the house and I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. But when he started faking poopies...I couldn't believe my eyes. How can he be smart enough to do that???
