| I have a question about grooming. When you all groom your babies, do you shave or leave short the belly part? how do you all groom the chest and belly part of your babies?

| I have Kimmee's shaved- i like it for sanitary reasons but my pup also keeps the puppy or teady bear cut all year long. I just keep her head and tail longer than a puppy cut. |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I also trim under the girls tummies - it's neater and they usually are really good for me - I think the trimmers tickle them |

| I have the groomer (Tricia, a fellow co worker of mine) shave Tigger completely. This way I don't get little dingleberries by his butt. We usually trim his face, so that the hair is short and then he gets a bandana. |

| I cut the belly hair short because it is very fine hair on chloe and tends to matt. I shave(with a trimmer) near chloe's femine parts and shave around the butt. I use a bikini/eyebrow trimmer that I bought at walmart for about $6 and it runs on batteries. Works great.

I dont know much about the type of cuts because I just trim the ends on the rest of chloe's coats and I trim the tips of her ears. As for the trimmer, I use a ConAir Bikini/Eyebrow trimmer from walmart(its light purple colored). It also came with several attachments. I love it.

IF the hair on the inside of their legs is getting stained it would be a good idea to trim it - I would use use sizzors on that ...just clip it shorter and see if that helps...if it's the same place over and over I would just trim that up and see how they do. LOL Kathryn...Thanks - but I only do basics and try to brush them every day.

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Kathryn...I ran out of time - I hadn't seen your post till after I posted on grooming - I'm by FAR not a Pro - I do believe GOOD products help alot - Chanel has always had long hair...but it got so hard to take care of when she was a year & 1/2... I had her cut down - Since letting her hair grow back - I started using good shampoos and conditioners - it made a world of difference ...Using Ice on Ice or a leave in Conditioner Spray-On helps too. The Basics for Grooming and Trimming can be done by us - I used to spend 35.00 each to have them groomed.... and one day I saw how little they actually did. I figured why not do it myself...I like it because I don't have to take them to a stranger and it's also cost effective. The quieter the trimmer the less they get stressed - & the best trimmer I have is a little Wahl.....both my girls now LOVE having their ears shaved lol ... The pics below are the 2 trimmers I couldn't do without |

| Bouncer always has a sanitary cut and I shave just a tad bit up his belly where he would tend to pee on the hair when he hikes his leg.
