Cold/Wet days

My Teddy is soo funny, in the morning when I get up at 5:30, he wakes up and starts streching while I get up to take him outside. Since the grass is wet and its a little cold outside he doesn't like to get all his paws wet. So he'll only put his two front paws in the grass. He is such a character....

Thats what my fiance wanted to do, but the problem is (we had a BIG fight over this) in the past when we were potty training toby he didnt get the point that when he went in the house it was ONLY on the pad , he couldnt differentiate between the pad and the rest of the house.
I just took him on a walk and he went both poop and pee so i guess i will just have to take him out on the leash a couple times a day poor me, i dont like the cold or wet either oh well, the things i do for my baby

I have totally had that same fight! When we got Syd, my fiancee wanted to pee pad train her and I was dead set against it. 4 months later I gave in, and honestly it was the best decision we ever made. Syd just seems to get no warning that she needs to go to the bathroom...so asking to go outside just wasn't working.

She did have some trouble at first with going just on the pad in the house...but she finally got it. I guess it just depends on the dog. But if he is going in the house a lot as it is because of the weather outside...maybe pee pads might be a good option for you.

ok, mine are the same way,so I bit and bought a real cheap rug, put it on our covered patio,and each spring when the weather clears and warms up, we through it away and then the next fall buy another one,wont pay more than 19.95 for a 9x12..chearper that my house and no smell,the pads are great, but mine always missed the pad part, they thought they had to have thier noses on it lol
