| Aww thank you! He's the best! I'm thinking there may be silky terrier in him? I love Velcro babies! He's definitely one, ha ha! He likes to try and bury himself under me, a proper digger! |

| He certainly looks yorkie to me. My grandmother had a mix she rescued from the pound once. She was tired of people telling her what kind of dog is that? So she decided to get the DNA from wisdom panel. She turned out to be vizsla and hound mix so now she knows what to answer. I guess you could do the DNA just to know. I mean eighter way you'll love them the same.

I agree with this post, snout looks diff. silky & yorkie not much diff. I had a pure breed yorkie, she was very big 17 lbs, long legs, even my vet asked "are you sure she's not a silky" I said her papers say she's a yorkie, did not matter to me, I love her dearly, she was a beautiful baby, once a pup is in your home & heart, the bond & love is there. He's a handsome boy, love and enjoy him.

| With Gizmo everyone that would meet him and ask what breed he was, and I would tell them he's a yorkie, and they would look at me confused. He has a cotton coat and floppy ears, and his color is changing slow. I got so irritated by everyone always asking, as I had rescued him and never seen his parents, so I had my vet do a DNA test, and yep, sure enough he was 100% yorkie :-) it didn't matter to me as I could not even remember what life was like with my loving little pup, but I was just curious because everyone kept commenting on him so much :-) so absolutely they do come in all different packages lol. All I care about is that I love him to pieces and he feels the same as he's a total mamas boy hehehe. |

| What is a silky? I was told Yorkies were 7lb or under. My Reuben is just short of 5lbs now.He will be 2 on Teusday. My problem is,he won't play on his own.He wants you to play with him all the time. |

I do think Yorkies tend to be a bit needier than other dogs. Mine in particular likes to be touching someone most of the time. She is a lap dog for sure. Sometimes if you give them the extra exercise they need they seem less anxious to go after you for entertainment. Indoor fetch has been a lifesaver for us especially when the weather is bad. | |
