I don't think anyone labeled you as "bad" OR feel that they take better care of their pups. I think they simply feel strongly about what you did...and quite frankly I do as well. It just would not occur to me to do something like that...but then, you know you should never say never...it can bite you in the butt. So, I will say this: I will not say I would never do what you did. I cannot imagine it, but I was not walking in your shoes when you did it. I honestly did not say a lot on this thread and right now am only reacting to your angry responses. You DID say you drugged your dog and that does push buttons. My advice is to simply close this thread and move on. Leaving solves nothing...there is a lot of great, helpful information on this forum. I am quite sure that no one wishes that you would leave. Each person simply said what they felt....take what you can use and leave the rest.

I know a man who is in a wheelchair and he takes excellent care of his pup. He goes to my vet and his pup is very healthy. He does not run with that pup...the pup rides around with him.

| That's true...I have a couple that I have to drag outside just to do their business. I cannot imagine trying to run them around.

I just posted that title because when I took her to the vet when she had to have her toe nail removed, he said to use Benadryl to calm her down. I was like, I am going to have to freakin "drug" her to calm her down. I really don't think that giiving her Benadryl is drugging her, it is just a phrase. I am sorry that people here took it so literally and went over the top attacking me.

You can turn this any way you wish...it's your choice if you want to learn or just try to cram your beliefs down OUR throats which is really what you are trying to do. You are still defending what you did...so why did you bother to ask? THAT is my point at this juncture...looks button pushing to me. *shrug*

| I would like to say something here. I have gotten many private messages from members agreeing with and supporting me. They haven't posted publically becaus they are afraid of getting the same kind of treatment I did. Most of them are first time yorkie owners and they, like me, have a hard enough time figuring out how to deal with these little creatures. I would like to tell the people on this site that have been here forever that you guys might want to think about the fact that just because you have had yorkies forever, you DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING and just maybe, your way, isn't the only way. You also might want to think about not coming across so sanctimonious and know it all and downright mean to us newbe yorkie owners. There are a lot of us out here and, unlike ME, they get intimated. Just a little bit of non-yorkie advice. |

![]() ![]() For those who like to remain in the shadows and those who do not. ![]() I must say one more time that the intent of this thread is definitely a question in my mind now for sure. Are you trying to tell us how we need to change? Did you forget your guilt that you wanted us to comment on?? Sorry, but I am lost. As for you being intimidated? Not quite buying that one. No disrespect but you don't sound intimated at all. As for me...I will be moving along now because I can see that it looks to be a bit too much entertainment now as opposed to a learning experience. Best wishes in your exercise dilemas. Not much more can be said...or at least not much more that I am willing to say.

Responding to your last post (and my last): all of the above. But with a healthy dose of actually meaning something to everyone here who has responsed to me. That being said, I have always enjoyed, respected and learned from your posts LadyJane. Thank you for that and for being smart.

| We have all been newbies at one time, we read, we learn and we take the best care of our babies that we possibly can. My only wish is that you asked us for advise before you gave the Benadryl to your baby to calm her down for your convenience.
