| Prayer for Dental Procedures!!! Dropping off my 2 babies tomorrow morning and need prayer for their dental procedures please!! I'm freaking out because it's their 1st dental cleaning and their 1st time being put under. The vet already told us that both needed some teeth pulled so I know their both going to be in some pain for awhile. It brakes my heart! SO worried if their going to be okay threw the whole thing and after. I'm more worried for my little girl though because she's only 3 pounds and 4 years old... I REALLY hope and PRAY for everything to turn out good!! Please pray for Bubba and Teacup... |

| Praying for your babies. My baby just got spayed today. I was a nervous wreck the whole day. She is home now resting and in pain. Please keep us posted on the babies. Hugs.

| Oh my goodness...what a morning! Doesn't it just brake your heart to leave your babies at the vet?? They were of course shaking to death in fear and probably wondering what they did wrong for them to leave them there! It makes me cry... The vet just called and said that there are some teeth that needed to be pulled. She said my little girl's front teeth didn't look too good, some she's hoping to save. But won't her tongue be hanging out?? Their about to be put under so please continue to pray for them. I'll give an update once I get them home!! The house feels SO lonely!! Thank you guys for posting sweet comments....you really help a yorkie owner stay positive! |

As for the tongue issue - maybe. There are several adorable Yorkies around here that have a little tongue action happening because of this. They really are very resilient and adjust quickly to losing teeth.

| Everything went good!! Well...besides my Bubba getting 4 teeth pulled and my tiny Teacup getting 8 pulled! Poor babies...they are going to be quit sore for a few days. I just hope it's going to be a fast recovery with no issues. The vet mentioned she was only going to give them just pain medicine but no antibiotics? That kind of worries me right there. I guess since the teeth that were pulled didn't appear to be infected, they should be fine? Should I ask for some anyways? Some teeth were pretty deep so I want to make sure that they WON'T get infected. I can't WAIT to pick them up!!!! |

| I'm glad everything went good. When Nena got a dental and they removed a tooth, the vet gave me antibiotics. I'd feel better with antibiotics because these aren't baby teeth.

| I am very happy to hear your babies sailed through their dentals today and will be home with you soon. Glad the big day is over. Sorry I don't know about the antibiotic. I'm sure your vet will explain more when you pick them up.

| Happy to hear it went smoothly! Yay Just speak to the vet about your concern for antibiotics. I can see where she wouldn't give them. Antibiotics are really overused these days, which can eventually lead to problems later. If there isn't an infection from bacteria, it isn't necessary. If antibiotics get overused, bacteria can actually become immune to the antibiotics in the future. I would definitely talk to the vet about it, though. Go with what you feel is best.

| They've been home now for about an hour and they are extremely drugged up!!! My Bubba boy seems to be handling everything alot better than my little girl (who again is 3 pounds & 4 yrs. old) She's the one who got 8 pulled and she's a hot mess!!! I'm making me real nervous because I don't know what to expect. She's really drowsy and her head is kind of wobbling around while she's laying down. She got her procedure AFTER Bubba so I'm sure it's going to take her awhile longer to come to but can someone tell me what I should be expecting?? Help =( |

| When Scooter got home after his dentist visit he kinda whimpered for awhile but the vet said that's a reaction to the anesthetic and wasn't caused by pain. He had 4 teeth pulled and by the next day he was back to his old self. They are so wonderful that they bound right back as if nothing had happened. Give your babies a kiss from Scooter.
