My little man, Jasper, finally weighs 4 pounds!!!

This might not seem post worthy to some. But, to this mama it is!! I'm hoping for 1 more pound. He is 8-1/2 months old. Already neutered. I really don't see the other pound happening...but I could be pleasantly surprised.

Congrats! With all the love and care he gets from you, I'm sure that 1 more pound will creep up in no time.

Way to go, Jasper! I know exactly how you feel. Barney was charting to be 8-9 pounds as a puppy. That was part of why we chose him. We wanted a larger size for personal reasons. Around 5 months, he just stopped growing. At 8 months, he had a growth spurt and now at 9 months, he is finally 5 pounds. Like you, I'm not counting on his gaining up to his original projected weight, but it feels like a major victory.

Celebrate with high calorie treats!!!
