| I know how scared you must be but let's pray that it's nothing more than just a tumor and nothing more. Hoping and praying little Rocco is resting and feeling well very soon. I know this has got to be rocky time for you two so am praying hard for you both.

| Thank you all so much for your caring thoughts. My little guy came home looking so awful and groggy, but was begging for food and ate some chicken and rice a little while ago. Also peed and pooped, and is resting well now - such a little trooper! Vet sent pain meds home (Remadyl?) for the next 4 days, so my sweet little angel should be feeling much better soon. Will update when lab results are back, which will take 3-5 days. Ugh.

| Doing much better, thanks. Had an accident of watery stools today, but other than that he's great. I got a look at his gums and I'm very surprised it's not messier looking than it is. His front teeth are pretty exposed though. I'll try to get a pic later and post.

| Very happy to say I got a call from the surgeon this morning, and the path report came back as "gingival hyperplasia"(overgrowth of gum tissue), specific to lymphoplasmacytic gingivostomatitis. Good news considering the alternatives. But I asked her about the cause, since he didn't have gingivitis or much plaque on his teeth at all. She said that some dogs' immune systems overreact to an irritation or pocket and then the gingival overgrowth is the result. She was pretty confident that it would not come back, given the single growth and location on his front teeth. I just need to check his mouth regularly to be sure there is no recurrence. Thank you all so much for your prayers and kind concern for Rocco!

| Great news! Praying it never grows back, and that Rocco's mouth heals completely soon. Thank you for sharing the update.
