| groom at home, I am definitely no dog groomer but have been doing it long enough to have figured it out. it's also fun to incorporate tummy tickles and massages into it and loving gentle brushing. My boys fall asleep on me when I use clippers it's really funny, I paid $20 for them and it was really worth it. Give it a try and loads of rewards for being good |

| Just brush her out and get some clippers for $20 and do it yourself. With absolutely no knowledge of grooming dogs, I picked up clippers and just mimicked what my groomer did, albeit, not nearly as nicely, and did it myself for about 2 years when I could not afford grooming either. Buzz her body and legs and carefully scissor cut around her eyes, ears, feet pads and her little butt. She might freak with the clippers the first time, but she'll get used to them eventually. I give you kudos for having your priorities straight though when it comes to your babies!

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Ha ha, that's my new favorite quote! To the OP, I agree with the others, you can easily learn how to do most grooming at home and save a bundle.

| I'm usually against going to petsmart or petco for grooming, but I was talking to a very nice groomer at petco tonight. She said it's $10 for a nail trim and $6 for an ear trim. I might use her for stuff like that between full grooms until I'm more comfortable. |

| Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I tried grooming Scarlett for the first time last week. It didn't go well. Poor thing looks like she was the loser in a tussle with a weed whacker. I think I was a little bit too ambitious and should have probably gone a bit slower and used a longer blade comb. I'm still terrified of doing the nails.

It is harder than it looks that is for sure.. I know with time and lots of patience it can be done, but the lord didn't grant me with patience so he goes to the groomer~
