| New Community Member--"yipyap" Hi, I just found your Yorkie site tonight! I am so excited. I have one male Yorkie, named Taffy, and he is 3 years old. I took him to 2 obedience classes so he could train me how to behave. I also have one male human at home, my hubby, who once upon a time only claimed to like cats, but since I snuck a Yorkie puppy home while he was off on a fishing trip 3 years ago, my hubby has now been claimed by the Yorkie as one of his favorite humans...and they can often be found sharing the same lounge chair during ball games on t.v. We make a happy three-some on our country home. I am retired, but hubby is still teaching, and Taffy is our 5 pound guard dog! |

I have a hubby who swore he only liked big "manly" dogs. He and Mandie have been joined at the hip since we brought her home. She is a Daddy's Girl and he is wrapped right around her paw. lol I look forward to getting to know you and Taffy. Please post pics plenty and often. We are sort of obsessed with Yorkies and pics of them around here

| Thanks for the warm welcome! My Kindle can't do pics! I found 3-4 welcoming emails from members of Yorkie Talk this a.m. Thank you!! Of course, everyone wants photos of Taff and us. I have sadly discovered that my Kindle device says it won't support videos or sending photos. What a bummer! I guess I will be regulated to notes. I tried to click on a cute puppy smilie face to end my message, but I got a "word name" for it instead, bummer! However, I will look forward to the member messages and chats on all the topics. Have a great Yorkie-day from yipyap!! |

| So glad I found your Yorkie Talk Forum when I was hunting for Yorkie topics on Google with my Kindle device. It seems like I tapped the right buttons at the end, and I was able to post a "thread" (which I guess is some kind of "chat message term"...can you tell I'm in my 60's? My daughter tells me I am hopeless when it comes to computers. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hi welcome to Yorkietalk! I'm your age and Yorkietalk has forced me to become very proficient in computers! I don't know much about kindles, (I thought they were just for reading) do you know the exact name of your model? I know for the iPad, you can get around the picture issue, by uploading to another site like photobucket and then downloading those pictures here.

| Hello and Welcome to YT. We are gonna have to get you educated some how so you can post pictures of your little bundle. You and I will get along great as I am guilty of sneeking animals into my home as well. I have a t-shirt that says "just a little bit sneeky" So True!

| Taffy's Favorite Sports Quote:
My hubby has brainwashed Taffy into laying on his lap to watch the San Francisco "Giants" baseball games and the San Francisco Forty-niners Football games. Mike wanted to teach Taffy some special sound to make for whenever their team scored, so Taffy now not only barks, he "howls". It is so funny since Yorkies do not usually "howl". We all would make a low "Ooooooo" sound, and sure enough, he started off sounding like a motor that had gotten stuck....."ooooo, ooooo, oooo". Then, one night, he came out with a nice long "ooooooooooooooo". So, Mike gave Taffy lots of pats and a doggie TREAT. Well, it didn't take long before he would a howl right along with either of us for team scores! | |

| I tried some good brands and finally stayed with the "Wellness Brand for Small Breeds" in a dry food. I always do a "mixture" of the canned Wellness meats & the dry Wellness kibble. I always get several of the different Wellness canned meats (turkey, chicken, lamb, whitefish, and venison) and I always get 2 cans of their canned Puppy food, too, because that has such a great blend of veggies & fruit with the meats!! I read somewhere that it is really healthy to feed the dog a mixture of canned & dry foods. |
