| Size is a fault, not a DQ. You might have trouble with judges putting up a bigger dog, but I'm sure there are some. Just pick your judges and Show away. Here in the States, I'm sure if you actually weighed some Specials, they are over 7 lbs. Some are really big, which they want to compete in the group ring. |

| Do you have someone that would show you how to wrap her coat and do the topknot properly for showing? It is a lot of work and kind of an art form in my mind. I love my girl's long coat and thankfully it grows out well but I have seen how much more show Yorkies and other breeds with long hair have to go through. I would hate to have to keep my baby's hair all wrapped up but dedicated breeders do it in order to get the right look and do well in the ring. You really need to learn from an expert. Maybe someone in your local dog club could help you. |

i'm not even looking to keep the perfect coat- imo a yorkie is more than just the coat- i'm more a structure over coat person - so i probably wouldn't have it Really long- especially round the face, and nothing that would stop her playing about in the muddy fields- she'd hate me if i did that! ![]() topknots i've became very good at actually! cut popps off when her hair was chopped, but kuki and her have had topknots most of their lives... http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...i/970fa337.jpg http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...s/786e16fc.jpg but kukis is a better example maybe... http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...i/d2843ac6.jpg (love an excuse for pics! lol wraps are something i definately do need more practice at though!!
