| My boys are on the smaller size, 4 lbs and 3 1/2 lbs, both wear bells so I know where they are especially in the dark or when playing outside. My boys wear cat collars. I never had my boys hold it except at night, their bladders are too small. I had a lil rascal set up in their play pen because they would confuse pads and carpet. My cat used to get crystals in urine. They only that would help was making sure he was hydrated, which meant wet food in all meals. He was also on Rx food for unrinary tract. Since your pups is still confused on potty training you will need to start over. A key thing with these little Gus is do not let them jump down from furniture or put them in places highe than your knees unless you are constantly with them. You can get inexpensive playpens on amazon for about $45, also I put a cheap tarp under the play pen, for those few accidents. This also means limiting their freedom. If they are with you try tethering them to you with a leash so you can watch for signs of potty. |

| I have known many dogs who are tiny and 100% potty trained. A healthy dog can walk to a potty pad and go potty with no problem no matter what the size.

| The only main difference I see is fragility of the pups. They all have tiny bladders so I don't see a difference in potty issues. My little guys hold it better than my lab, she seems to always have to go in the middle of the night. |

| I don't see how they are that much more fragile like I said Callie jumped off the couch and hurt her leg same thing a tiny can do.

| I don't understand why you fight this subject so hard. I really don't.

| Because I feel what can happen to a tiny can happen to a bigger one to just because Callie is 17 pounds doesn't mean its not unsafe for her to jump of furniture or that she was easily potty trained or doesn't have some of the same if not all of the same issues. I think there are things that need to be taken in to consideration for ALL small breeds no just ones under a certain weight.
