| ![]() Hi there ... I ran across this forum while searching for tips on puppy care and glad I found it .. lots of useful information already ... So a little about my little munchkin .. she is a Biewer Yorkie (or Biewer Terrier to be "politically correct") ![]() ![]() She had her first vet check up (with us as the owner) and was given a big big thumbs up health wise and progress growth wise... Her name is Holly (my last name is Wood so put the 2 names together) ![]() ![]() ![]() We have a black lab in the household that my wife owned before I was on the scene ... I always called her Forest Gump as she's a little on the slow side ![]() ![]() On a side note I was a joint owner of a Gold and Blue Yorkie with my then girlfriend I was so close to that little fluff bucket that I had joint ownership after we broke up (sounds crazy I know) .. in 2011 she started having epileptic fits that were very very violent ... it turned out she had a tumor on her brain .. operating was out of the picture as her little skull was to small for her to survive drilling the get to the tumor .. she was on meds for a month or so but we had to come to the hard and gut retching decision to put her down... (still get choked up thinking about it) ... Her name was Zadie ... Here is a song I wrote (very rough) with picture slide show if you are interested Here's a little video of Holly Zadie Wood (her full name) playing with a pigs ear ok I've written way to much .. I don't usually rave on this much I promise :-) cheers Stu... An

| ![]() Thank you every one for the kind welcomes :-) ... I'm finding it fascinating how different Holly is to my Zadie Bug ... Holly is full of beans and continually up to mischief racing around the apartment .. hiding under the couch and popping out to bite the Lab's tail :-P .. she plays fetch already .. plays tug of war ... the down side of that is she can be a down right terror!! ![]() I've heard that the Biewer's have a slightly different personality to a Yorkie (proper) but who knows .. I know all dogs are different .. Thanks again .. I've been trying to post pictures in different posts but each time my browser just locks up .. also tried to create a photo album in my profile and the same thing happened .. I'll keep trying though :-) cheers

| ![]() Goodness, goodness WELCOME to YT! Wow you have quite a story there. Glad to hear you made it through your heart attack. That is truly amazing. So glad to have you here and be a part of our YT family. I’m so sorry to hear about your Zadie, these little ones leave such an impact on our lives. Just know that she will always be in your heart and soul. Forest Grump sounds like an interesting lady! It sounds like Holly will be able to crack her soon enough, and I’m sure they will be great friends. Holly sounds like a ball of energy, and so smart! I love Biewer’s- they are just so darn cute~ Looking forward in getting to know you and Holly! Welcome again!

| ![]() Well welcome to YT and RAVE ON my friend...WE ALL DO as you will soon see! I love the name Holly and I have a Holly too! My Holly is a Chihuahua that I found 3 1/2 yrs. ago 2 days before Christmas. I'm glad that you are healthy and soo sorry about your pup. I saw the video but can't get my volume to work so no sound. Probably better for me as I will tear up. Your story is bittersweet! You will love it here so good luck getting off this site when you have other thing to do!! I catch myself here way too much!

| ![]() Welcome to YorkieTalk! I'm sorry for your loss of Zadie, losing a beloved pet is never easy and I dread the day (in the very far future) that I will have to say goodbye to my baby. Congrats on your recovery and on your new baby! Holly is a doll and she sounds 100% terrier so watch out! ![]()
