| ![]() I don't think anything to do with my pups grosses me out anymore. At our house, we call those "danglies." Most of my dogs act like they are going to die if they have one and one will just freeze and not move. Usually they will come off with a tissue, etc.

ain't that the truth, with Lola it only happens once in while but she is so indignant and upset about it you can tell from a mile a way that she has a dingleberry stuck, so momma has to pick her up sort of backwards and to the laundry sink we go, I just let warm water run over that area till everything comes off, sometimes I need to take a little scissor to it. Just wait till you are running late and dressed up nice and your pup does a half in half out poop that is stuck. Now you are left to figure out how to get it out, LOL that should be on that TV show dirty jobs.

LOL just saw this after I posted, that's what we call them to. Dingleberries just come with the territory of owning a dog, I am assuming other breeds have them to, can you imagine dealing with this on say a big Irish setter or a sheep dog, OH my that would be a chore ![]()

| ![]() Thanks for the warnings! I guess my "gross" scale is going to be on a curve from now on! LOL! Not looking forward to diarrhea all over me--hope that one never happens! I'll be keeping her hair trimmed from now on, and will make butt inspection a daily habit! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A larger dog would test my gross-out scale. Glad we never had any problems with our 85 pound Airedale.

| ![]() Some little hints will help a lot. Get a helper and do this on a counter in a well lighted area. Cover the counter in news paper. Use gloves if you are ucked out. Buy blunt round tipped scissors, a medium fine comb and some coconut oil. Slide the comb between the poop ball and the skin. Cut against the comb. When the poop ball is gone, rub a tiny amount of coconut oil on the potty area, comb the hair away from the anus, about the size of a ping pong ball area. Cut the hair with little the small safety scissors. (Later if you do use clippers or an eyebrow trimmer, be sure to shave away from the anus, going over the anus can cut the delicate tissue !) After Your baby potties use a baby wet wipe on her bottom. It is ok to use a quick light swipe of the coconut oil to keep poo from sticking. Hope This Helps.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Do you mean it's getting stuck in her fur / bc of her fur in the area? Or, are you saying she can't get it pushed out fully, so that it's getting stuck in the rectum? If it's getting stuck in the rectum, I'd probably want a vet to take a look and/or maybe have her anal glands checked.

| ![]() You all are a great resource! And to Wylie's mom, it is poop stuck in the fur. I gave her a real good trim, and things have been good since then, but I'm definitely keeping a closer eye on it! |
