| New Mommy Jitters I pick up my our new family member Thursday and I'm starting to get the "new mom" jitters! I cleaned the puppy supplies I already had, and bought the ones I didn't. Bought some of the food she's eating at the breeder's, set up the ex-pen and washed some baby receiving blankets that I'll put in her crate and bed. I would never admit this to anyone except dog people, but right now I'm sitting here with a baby blanket wrapped around my torso underneath my tshirt. I want it to pick up my scent and will be putting them in her ex-pen to hopefully comfort her when I'm not around. It's taking all of my will power to not go pick her up today - the breeder offered - but I don't want to shorten the time she has with Mama and littermates. On the other hand... I fostered a pregnant Tzu and then her pups about 5yrs ago, but it's been about 8yrs since I have raised a puppy and I remember how much work it was like it was yesterday. Am NOT looking forward to going through that again. In a nutshell, I'm a bundle of nerves. Really really looking forward to bringing her home, but also dreading it. Jitters abound! *twitch* |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I got the jitters every time I brought home a new one. They wrap you around their paw so fast you don't mind the extra work. Congratulations.

This will be the first time I've trained a dog to use the doggie door without their being able to watch others go in and out, so cross your fingers for me!

YT 1000 Club Member | Congrats on your new furbaby! I can't wait to see pics just a bit of caution: I thought of getting a doggy door too until I realized how much of a high commodity these little pups are and how desperate some people are too have one. On top of that you're in Kentucky right? I'm from Tennessee and now live in Texas the birds of prey and snake population in the southern states(any area really) are no joke. I actually heard from my breeder of a yorkie getting carried off by a bird. One of her customers had a doggy door and just let the pup out to do her business and next thing you know...I know you'll do what's best I just had to throw that out there. Can't wait to see pics!!!! |

| Congrats! Jitters are normal. Heck, I didn't know I was getting Henri until the day I got him and I STILL had puppy jitters! Everything will be fine and you will relax a little when you have your baby in your arms.

| I hope things have gone well with your new puppy. How old is she? I guess I don't understand why you are putting the puppy pads under the play pen? Aren't you supposed to put them in the pen with her? |

My son declared Lexi does not suit her. After much deliberation and trying different names we agreed upon Jazmine, Jazzy for short. Such a fireball, and though we're only 24hrs in, honeymoon period -personality plus! She's doing AMAZINGLY well. I actually picked the most timid pup of the litter, thinking I've got the background to socialize and deal with any temperament issues more than the average bear but my breeder did an excellent job. She's exceeding all expectations so far. Love this lil gal to pieces already!

| You are lucky, I was going to start a thread and call you out if you didn’t post pics!! See how easy that was… Where are the pics? I love the name Jazmine ( Jazzy). How old is your son?

| They keep failing, just realized file size was too big, doh! My son is 20, about to be 21. I've already told him when he moves out he does NOT get to take her with! No puppy porn pic for you, the one of her on her back still won't go but there should be one attached to this post. |
