I would never admit this to anyone except dog people, but right now I'm sitting here with a baby blanket wrapped around my torso underneath my tshirt. I want it to pick up my scent and will be putting them in her ex-pen to hopefully comfort her when I'm not around.
It's taking all of my will power to not go pick her up today - the breeder offered - but I don't want to shorten the time she has with Mama and littermates.
On the other hand...
I fostered a pregnant Tzu and then her pups about 5yrs ago, but it's been about 8yrs since I have raised a puppy and I remember how much work it was like it was yesterday. Am NOT looking forward to going through that again.
In a nutshell, I'm a bundle of nerves. Really really looking forward to bringing her home, but also dreading it. Jitters abound! *twitch* |
Once you have that baby in your arms, you will be just fine. The training time is flying by for me. Jasper will be 7 months old Monday and it seems like we just brought him home yesterday. Sure he still has a lot of work on housebreaking. But, he is getting there. Remember they are so smart and can learn things so fast. You are going to be a great mom. Will you be crating at night or sleeping in the bed with you? Pee pad outside training?
