| Thank you.... My previous posting might have been worded or come across wrong after reading it. Lily's previous owner wasn't doing good health wise. My friend was in/out of the hospital and had to have her leg amputated. With her not being home as much and going thru all her therapy, she couldn't care for Lily as easily as she could. It was getting to be too much on her. Lily is in great health and such a happy little girl :-) |

| I lived in the middle of know were way out in the woods. My drive way was ¼ mile long and my closest neighbor was over a mile away. One night our over sized lab elkhound mix named Lurch (110 lbs) barked all night I went out several times but didn’t see anything. The next morning he was still barking and now that it was daylight I felt safer and went out into the driveway as I did this a little dog the size of a squirrel came out from under my car. She was so scared and so small and Lurch had barked at her all night which is a good thing as it kept the coyotes away so she was not eaten. I put up an advertisement in the local paper for a found dog with no description so if some one called they would have to identify her and then I would know I had the right person. I didn’t get on call and braced on this if feel someone dumped her. I say this because after having her a few days we found she was sick and needed surgery. We had no one claim her and she needed medical attention so we got her the surgery and she was with us for 10 years until she passed away. Lurch and Tinker were best buds and she died from a broken heart after he passed at the age of 15. I no longer have big dog and now the three bundles of love are all Yorkies. I guess what they say is true “once you go Yorkie you never go back” |

| I had been asking my hubby for a pup for over a year. I had hoped to get one for my birthday that year (I know, I know...) as a surprise from my dh. My grandmother ended up on her death bed that month and I spent every possible moment by her side. She stopped eating and drinking and slept. I had a hard time with this, and was depressed. She passed away 6 days before my birthday and my birthday passed without a gift from my hubby. I had been casually searching for my dog, and came across a Craigslist ad one morning. It had very little information and no picture. It just said male yorkie, rehoming fee applies. I called the number and set a time to go out to visit this little guy. My husband had been against any dogs, so I had my friend go out with me. I stopped by an atm to get the money just in case I fell in love. We drove up to the ladies house and sat down in her living room. I knew instantly that I would be taking the little guy home She had recently adopted her three young grandchildren and she was concerned that they might hurt him. I took him home and my husband was pissed! He told me to return him, but I told him I wouldn't tell him where I got him He slept with us that night, and the very next morning my husband said "You aren't too bad little guy!" lol. Couver filled the void in my heart after my grandmother passed. I will forever think of him as the greatest birthday gift of my life

| In 2008 my husband was battling throat cancer, and one day when he went in for chemotherapy, a woman came in for chemo with a big bag with an adorable Yorkie puppy in it. They told her she could not have the pup with her for chemo, and tried to get her to reschedule. I jumped up and offered to watch the pup outside for the hour while she got chemo. I absolutely fell in love with little Bruno, and couldn't get him off my mind, even though I had 2 mini Schnauzers at home. About 2 months later my 8 yr. old Schnauzer girl died, unexpectedly, and I was devastated. I started looking for another pup immediately, and found my Yorkie Tiki, and put a deposit on her but had to wait another 2 months to get her. We immediately fell in love with her, and decided to get another 3 months later. When we were unable to find another Yorkie (they are very hard to get in Hawaii), we got our Morkie, Meika. The 2 brought so much joy to our lives at a very hard time. I became addicted... and after my husband passed away, I added 2 more pups to my pack. They have helped me face the hardest times of my life, and always make me smile. I cannot imagine life without my 4 furgirls.
